41. Your New Gift

When you're done stargazing, the two of you head back to Casita and into Camilo's room where you both sit down on his bed. It's midnight.

"Woah, this bed is really high from the ground. How do you not fall?"
"Oh, I do fall."
"W- huh?"
"I fall all the time."

Suddenly, he tackles you on the bed and hugs you.

"What the-" you start.
"But I fall harder for you," he says.
"Ok, that was cheesy," you continue.
"Yeah, it was," he laughs.

He begins wrapping himself around you. You didn't believe that on this very night you'd find yourself in the Casa Madrigal, cuddling with Camilo.

He rests his head in-between your neck and shoulder, letting out soft breaths against you. Although it's hard to move with him laying partially on top of you, you manage to move an arm up to play with his hair.
When you do so, he lets out a sigh of satisfaction.

He's so cute...

As he begins to drift off to sleep, you remind him that he can't do that by gently waking him up. You can't tell if he's fully awake until he reaches over and gives you a light kiss on the cheek. Butterflies.

You lay with Camilo latched onto a bit longer until you realize. The door.

"Hey, Camilo?"
"Hm?"
"Can you come with me to check something?"
"Sure."

You both sit up, and leave Camilo's room. When you bring him to the door, you're both shocked.

"Woah, the door's glowing- pink?" Camilo says in astonishment.
"Oh my- my mom told me about this!" you say excitedly.
"Told you about what?"
"She told me about the door! She said that when I find love, the door will glow and I'll receive a gift!"
"Wow!" he exclaims, "Then what are you waiting for? Open it!"

Taking a deep breath, you turn the knob. The door shines the same exceptional pink, and suddenly, you feel different.

"So, what's your gift?" he asks, excited.
"I don't know."
"Well- Abuela always says that it comes naturally, so try doing something to me."
"Oh- uhm... ok."

You stare deeply at him for a moment nothing. However, when you touch him, something definitely does happen. Before you know it, his feet have disconnected from the ground.

"WOAH- WHAT THE HECK?" he says, flailing his arms. He's floating in the air, and all he can do is float around and bounce off of objects.
"AAAAAAAAH PUT ME DOWN," he yelps.

Suddenly, something seems to snap inside of you, and he falls to the ground.

"Sorry," you say.
"Don't be! That was so cool!" he says in astonishment.
"Yeah!"
"I wonder if you can do that with objects... "
"It wouldn't hurt to try."

You pick up your radio and try to send it up. Just like Camilo did, the radio has no problem being sent into the air.

"That's amazing," Camilo says.
"Mhm. Antigravity."
"Yeah, that makes sense."

The two of you head back to Camilo's room to mess with your new gift, but when you see the clock, you stop.

"Oh no- it's 12:30."
"Is that bad?"
"I should go home."
"Oh... can I go with you?"
"Uhm... you know what? Yeah... But you'll have to come back on your own."
"Who said you have to go home?" he scoffs.
"My mom."
"Oh."
