This is a picture of Jake and his wolf Smoke
——...Three years later...
There was a pack gathering of the different territories for the annual mating season, pairs begun in earnest, and the forest reverberated with the echoes of passion and the promise of new life to come.
Nicole's POV
Under the enchanting glow of the full moon, I was wandering around watching all these people finding each other. While doing this I could feel my bond with my second half and an intoxicating smell, the smell was a mix of cedarwood and orange. I continued to roam around the area weaving through couples one by one unconsciously looking for my mate, coming closer and closer to the scent that keeps infiltrating my nostrils. Eventually the aroma got stronger the closer I got away from the crowds of people that had found their significant other, a couple strides and I was right in front of my other half.
And then, as if drawn by an invisible force, my gaze fell upon his figure standing with his friend, his gaze fixed upon me with a mixture of curiosity and recognition. It was Jake, my old childhood friend whose presence exuded a sense of strength and resilience, his eyes holding a depth of emotion that spoke to me on a primal level. I felt a jolt of recognition deep within my soul, knowing that this encounter was not a mere coincidence, but a meeting of our two souls. I approached him with a mixture of trepidation and curiosity, my heart pounding inside my chest as we stood face to face with one another.
Jake's POV
Amidst the rustling leaves and the gentle sway of the trees, my instincts sharpened, a primal awareness. While I was hanging with Brad, suddenly the air was filled with a heady aroma that tantalized my senses, a rich, decadent blend of vanilla and chocolate that wove through the air like a seductive whisper. The scent of vanilla mingled with the deep, bittersweet notes of dark chocolate, creating a symphony of fragrence that was at once intoxicating and comforting.
With each inhale, the warm embrace of vanilla enveloped my senses, its sweet, creamy essence conjuring images of freshly baked cookies and velvety custard. The familiar scent of vanilla pods danced in the air, exuding a sense of warmth and nostalgia that stirred memories of my childhood delights and cozy evenings by the fireplace. Intertwined with the vanilla was a deep, alluring aroma of chocolate, its rich, velvety undertones adding a layer of complexity to the olfactory experience. The scent of dark chocolate permeated the air, its deep, indulgent notes hinting at luxury and indulgence, beckoning my senses with promise of sinful delights and sweet surrender.
Together, the harmonious blend of vanilla and chocolate created a sensory symphony that was impossible to resist . Soon it was a moment of pure sensory pleasure that captured the essence of decadence and desire in a single breath, eventually I had one person come into my view... Nicole. Our eyes met in recognition, a spark of connection igniting between us, as if the universe itself had orchestrated our meeting under the watchful gaze of the moon. I felt a surge of emotions welling up within me, a deep sense of knowing that this was no ordinary encounter, but a meeting of our souls destined to be intertwined. Her presence was like a puzzle piece clicking into place, in this moment of silent communion I knew I didn't want nor need my mate by my side when I became the Alpha of the pack, so I rejected her on the spot.
