The next morning I woke up completely sleep deprived, since I barely slept last night. I get out of bed going to the hallway, when I open the door Jake's body falls back after I do. The action of him falling wakes him up, I look down at him with a confused expression, questioning...

"Jake?"

"Yeah?" he questions sleepily.

"When did you get here? And did you sleep there all night?"

"Sometime last night. Yes I did."

"Why didn't you go to bed last night?"

"Just in case you needed me."

"Well thank you but you didn't NEED you."

"I know but I couldn't leave you like that, not feeling like the world was against you."

"That's sweet of you, still didn't need to do that for me. I'm fine."

That was a lie but he didn't need to know that. We both head down to the dining room, when we get there no one is at the table, no one seems to be in the house. We go outside and yell to see if anyone is out there but nothing, we look at each other confused then both our brains click, maybe they went to the other pack house without consulting the two of us. Jake and I head over, and find a stalemate. The Black Blood Pack and the rogues on either side of the Alpha's, I look towards Jake with a concerned look on my face, then I gaze upon the crowd. "Morning."

"What's going on?"

"Well, jet and I thought it would be a good idea to finally get everyone in one place and see what would happen. We came over earlier but you two were asleep, so we just left you guys to rest. So far it's not looking too good."

"Luckily nothing has happened."

"I made sure they knew if something bad happened you'd get after them for it."

"Hey, I'm not that cruel."

"Could have fooled me."

"That's rude." I gasped, putting a hand against my chest.

"He's not wrong, you do have a mean streak."

"Wow, ganging up on a girl. How reckless."

All three of them look at me scared to say one word to me now, then I just start to double over with laughter at their expressions placed on their features.

"Don't worry," I pause, then continue, "Much." Making them think twice before dad begins to smile.

"Stop playing around your scaring them shitless Nicole."

"Come on their faces make my day, hehe." The members of each pack began to mingle, their movements cautious at first, but gradually easing into a rhythm of camaraderie and mutual respect. Seeing that Jarred, Dad, Jet, Jake, and I were all getting along with one another.

Soon enough conversations blossomed, laughter echoed through the clearing, and bonds of friendship began to form where once there had been only mistrust and division. The day wore on, the sounds of shared stories, and shared experiences filled the air, a symphony of unity and understanding that transcended the boundaries of pack and rogue. At that moment I knew that we had taken the second step towards a future where there are no such things as rogues any more. Jarred continued on with saying,
