"Get off of her, she's in her human form. You're hurting her."

"That's not my problem, it's hers. She's the one who decided to attack me, it's not my fault her wolf decided to abandon her at this dire moment."

What was Arctic thinking, leaving me vulnerable like this, is she serious right now? I need to figure out how I'm getting out of his grasp right now before I sustain some more scars to add to my collection.

"I think it's high time that I teach you not to mess with my mate."

"No. I can deal with this on my own."

"Shut up, let me help you."

"Alright, alright I'll let you help me." Jake gives me a weird look of confusion and surprise, which made me laugh a bit under the pressure of Jarred pushing me into the ground.

"What? You're lucky I'm even agreeing. Now would you hurry up and help me."

"Yeah of course." He hurried to get me out of this uncomfortable position with dirt, grass being forced into my mouth.

"Ah ah I don't think so, take one more step and I'll tear her head from her shoulders."

Jarred pushed harder, making it harder for me to breathe, hurting me so much that I'm ready to scream out in pain. I try weaseling my way out of his grasp.

"Jake," I say while I'm beginning to sob and reach out for him. At this point I'm glad that he is willing to help me because I know I can count on him.

"Nicole, I know you're hurting, but can you hold on a little while longer?"

I nod to the best of my ability to let him know I can. Jake looks back to Jarred, he starts talking to him, provoking him causing Jarred to let go of me. Jake then yells,

"RUN!!"

Once I hear the word I run as fast as I can. When I look back Jake is fighting Jarred and It looks like he's winning, in a split second Jake has taken over the lead and it's looking like he's going to win. I turn my head away for a few minutes then I hear someone howl in agonizing pain, when I turn back around I see Jake on the ground, Jarred standing over top of him with blood in his mouth.

My heart drops when I see the scene in front of my eyes, my vision begins to become watery because of my sight, it's filling up with tears. They are begging to stream down my face, I stand there watching as Jarred is about to shred Jake apart in front of me. At this point I couldn't move my feet so I could run and save him. I then scream out,

"JAKE, NO!" The salty liquid spills past my lower eyelid, coating my cheeks in wetness. That's when Jarred peer's in my direction as he turns into his human form.

"See princess, you're mine, mine alone. Just for my eyes, just for my touch and pleasure. You will be mine, as I told you. Do you understand me?" He then smiles wickedly, coming closer to me.

"St-stay a-away fr-rom m-e."

"Oh come on, I'm not that bad," He pauses, "Looking am I?"

"J-just keep awa-ay from me." By this time I'm prepared to accept that I will never see Jake again, or so I thought.
