*A week before*

Jake's POV

As I order Nicole to run, I sprint towards Jarred, attacking him. I begin to keep my own, but it quickly backfires on me. When this happens, my body reacts, causing me to shout in pain and collapse to the ground. At this moment I'm presently bleeding out as I watch the person I love being taken away from me. Before Jarred has a chance to rip me to shreds Nicole screams out...

"Jake NO!"

Her eyes welled up with tears, and a second later they began to flow down her small and delicate rose beige face. Subsequently, Jarred starts to transform back into his human shape and speaks to her, but my vision was flickering, so I couldn't comprehend his words completely. I subsequently resume my human form.

Nicole's POV

I stutter while speaking to Jarred, hoping he will keep away from me. After that, I depart with him and disappear into the night.

*a while later*

Jet's POV

"Jake, son, stay with me, the ambulance is coming."

I am currently waiting at the gate for the ambulance to arrive. After a few minutes, they reach their destination, and I let them through by opening the gate. I'm pressing on the wound while he sits by his side, waiting for the paramedics to arrive and take over.

"How long has he been down?"

"About six minutes I think."

"Is he on any kind of medication, if any which ones? Does he have any allergies?"

"No, none."

To determine the extent of the harm to Jake's body, they give him a comprehensive physical examination. After determining that no other injuries exist, they start treating Jake and place him in a collar with a backboard before hurriedly loading him into the ambulance and taking him to the hospital. As they race to the hospital, Jake's blood pressure begins to drop, causing him to gradually fall into cardiac arrest.

When they stop in the emergency bay, the paramedic in the rear jumps on top of him and starts CPR. The physicians are waiting for them outside the emergency wing when they arrive. They eventually feel the beat of his heart again after a few minutes.

The doctors who took part will decide. Once Jake is stabilized, his doctor enters the room to inform the other physician that Jake is a family friend and that he has this one. Nodding, the other doctor departs.

"What happened?" .

"The leader of the rogue's, Jarred, bit him."

"Nurse, get the small bag from my office, please."

"Yes, doctor." Subsequently, the nurse exits the room to retrieve the doctor's case containing his remedy, which involves extracting werewolf bites from another werewolf he has trained. The nurse returns with the bag. "Here you go doctor."

"Thank you." He says, taking out a vial that contains the remedy, and begins to insert the liquid into the needle. He gives Jake a dose of the yellow-green elixir in his arm. After putting everything back, he says... "Now we wait."

"How long?"

"That depends on Jake." He ends the conversation there and exits the space.

I patiently wait for Jake to wake up but so far nothing. A minute later Ben walks in.

"Has he woken up yet?"

"Not yet, no. What if he doesn't?"

"Don't think that way, he'll wake up. He's a fighter and a really good one at that."
