Chapter 21: Winter Wonderland

Hey everyone! This is so overdue. I'm so sorry for this late update. I had so many things to do and I'm sorry I haven't been attentive to this fanfic. I feel horrible for making everyone wait for so long. I really have to focus on my school work though.

For people who actually read the notes that I leave every single chapter, thanks and I'm glad you guys actually pay attention to them.

You'll actually know that I am no longer setting deadlines for this fanfic. I know I set a deadline already. I don't want to post multiple chapters in a row because it'll just spoil the momentum of the story and the suspense of my cliffhangers. Please don't leave me or hate me for breaking all of these promises.

Crystal Lane remained silent. No one has said anything, more or less, move from their spots since Frost and Ayame left.

Luna sighed. "I should have known those two would have tried to revive their parents."

Luna's comment caught everyone's attention. She noticed the curious stares directed at her. The little star averted her eyes from the group and sighed once again.

"As you know, Frost and Ayame are trying to revive two of the most powerful demons in all of Earthland. What you don't know is the fact that those demons are also their parents."

"No way..." Happy commented.

"Wait, revive? Does that mean that they're--"

Luna interrupted Lucy. "No, they're not dead. Both ice demons were sealed away in this mountain 14 years ago."

"Who sealed them?" asked Natsu.

"...I don't remember..." Luna said with hesitation. She looked at the ground. Then she closed her eyes and shook her head. "We can't let those two come back to wreak havoc once again."

"And we won't let them." Natsu stood up from the ground as he said that. "We'll stop them before those two days come by and get back home in time for Christmas." His fist collided with the palm of his hand. The dragon slayer smiled with determination. Everyone else smiled at his determination and nodded.

"Okay then, let's go and defeat those ice demons!"

"Aye sir!"

Both Natsu and Happy started running toward the frozen stream. Lucy immediately pulled them back as soon as they started running. After falling down from the tugs on their shirts, Natsu and Happy got back up and faced Lucy.

"What was that for Lucy?!" the two boys yelled in unison.

"Do you even know where Frost and Ayame's hideout is located?" Natsu and Happy froze.

Luna sighed at their impulsiveness. "The only way to get to their hideout is to travel through this ice trail."

"Good thing I brought these." Lucy rummaged through her backpack and finally took out two pairs of ice skates. One of the pairs looked like Happy's size and the other pair looked like Natsu's size. She handed the small pair to Happy and the other pair to Natsu. Both of them had confused looks on their faces.
