Happy reading"Coast clear?"
"Coast is clear." Sotiria had whispered, beckoning her sister to go down the stairs and open the door. She would have done so herself but she didn't want to, plus Zipporah was faster at opening the door than her.
It was somewhat complicated to do so.
But the girls had understood why. For some reason, the girls had snuck out quite a lot of times lately, making their parents sceptical.
To prevent them from sneaking out less, or even better, not at all, they had therefore made it harder for them to leave - making all doors harder to open, not just the front door.
This was accomplished by their uncle, who had helped people fix furniture or move houses when necessary. As it was a pretty stressful job, he therefore wanted to resign very soon.
They hadn't snuck out anymore because of this, happening 2 months ago. Today was officially the first time that the girls were sneaking out again since the new locks on the doors.
It was just past nine o'clock in the morning at the moment, with Savannah wanting everyone to meet at the library of Santorini State of the Arts by 10 o'clock.
10 o'clock was also supposed to be time that the girls were supposed to go bridesmaid shopping for the upcoming wedding of their Aunty Rosalia.
She was getting married at church on a Sunday, with there going to be a church service in between. She was too busy today to sort things out - if anything Sunday was the best time for her wedding.
Most people invited were from her church anyway, after her family members. They were going to be busy throughout the upcoming week.
But for some reason, Sotiria especially had thought that it would have been a better idea for her to go and help find her brother that hadn't even known she had existed.
Very reluctantly, Zipporah had decided to follow her sister, but only because she didn't want her to get into trouble.
They had passed their parents, in the sense that they were still sleeping, but if they had known that Satira was downstairs then they would have definitely thought twice about sneaking out, more so at this time.
Since their phones were confiscated for lying to their parents about them and to them, it was taken away from them until further notice.
Sotiria would have helped looked for it, although she didn't know where it was, plus it was too risky. Her parents had normally hidden everything in a specific place.
Not in the same place anymore though, after Darius and Kesiena realised that the girls knew where they had hidden confiscated electronics.
Just as the girls were about to leave, they had heard Satira asking them where they were going, making the two of them jump almost simultaneously.
She was in her pyjamas, and she was eating a banana from the fruit basket in the kitchen.
The girls were beyond alarmed when they had seen her, specifically how she wasn't even a morning person to begin with.
"Shouldn't y'all be sleeping?"
"We could ask you the same question," Zipporah had deadpanned. "Why are you up this early anyway? What's up with you?"
She had been suffering from insomnia apparently, and normally when she had done so, she had gone downstairs from some kind of snack, mainly a fruit.
