Last chapter! We've come so far!
"Jackson, is that you?"
That was coming from Reminisce as YSHM headed over to the gazebo where Jackson was staying.
He may not have known Savannah for that long but he was just grateful that he managed to talk to her when she was still alive.
He had never cried so much over the death of someone he didn't really know that well. Then again, they were siblings, even if they didn't know each other for almost all of Savannah's short life.
"Oh, hey guys," he greeted them, trying to smile but couldn't. Today had been too hard to. "I see you have some new friends."
Tatiana and Kaiden had introduced themselves and Jackson had introduced himself to them, with them talking to him, asking him if he was okay.
And where Lilibet as well as Darius were because Tatiana realised that they hadn't come to the funeral. All three of them were coincidentally at the same prison.
"They felt too responsible about everything," Jackson let them know. "Besides, the prison guards wouldn't let them go. They let me go because I'm on parole tomorrow. I've been behaving really well in prison."
Ashanti joined in the conversation, suggesting that maybe he could have stayed with her after introducing herself.
"I mean Darius said I can stay with Kesiena and Satira, but thanks for the offer. I met him earlier. I'm yet to meet Lilibet. Darius and I reconciled."
It was too strange to call him father and Lilibet his mother as Jackson hadn't known them for a long time. Plus they almost tried to kill him.
Straight after the funeral, Jackson had to head back to the prison anyway, with prison guards picking him up.
It seemed awkward that police were at a funeral but that was just the way it was.
Jackson had headed back to Silvercloud Holding Centre half an hour later, with Lilibet in the meantime having a visit from Salvador.
Salvador was the person that had got her arrested in the first place, after eavesdropping on Jackson's conversation with YSHM - so therefore they didn't get along.
"Lilibet," Salvador gently banged on the door of her cell as she was writing in her diary to a now deceased Savannah. "You have a surprise visitor."
If she couldn't have gone to her funeral, she could at least have written to her as if she was still alive.
"What are you doing here?" She scowled. "I don't like you after you got me arrested."
"You got yourself arrested, ma'am. Shouldn't have driven Darius to commit attempted murder on Jackson - and kept your crime a secret for all of these years. You played yourself."
To be fair, he was right - which was something Lilibet was never going to admit.
Salvador loved being right, more so at one's own One could have said that he was a bit of a narcissist.
She was going to ask him who the surprise visitor was and that she wasn't expecting him, but relented because that seemed stupid, even for her.
Either way, Lilibet was shocked to see both Darius and Jackson outside of her cell. She was flabbergasted.
She hadn't spoken to Darius since they divorced, and she hadn't spoken to Jackson since two hours before Darius had put him in a coma a few years' back.
