Chapter 23 - Sealing The Wormhole For Good

It looks like everyone agreed to let Rey and Reinhald have a second bite at tampering with the wormhole after the miracle-like force-aided efforts last time round. However they had to reach there in stealth mode and use other allies as decoys. It seemed a few small crafts designed with some sort of space curtains or boards were also assigned to hide Rey and Reinhald from being seen by any enemies as it as become slightlier busier near the wormhole since last time.

Rey and Reinhald both get into their spacesuits that leaves their hands exposed like last time. They both leave some sort of circular emergency or terrace mode door and get on the specially designated platform again. Both sets of hands look really strong and powerful and again a small spark between their hands as they made contact. This time Reinhald on the left and Rey standing on the right. Their outermost hands aimed against the wormhole...

The emerald-green-like force lightning comes out both their hands and the wormhole looks thunderous from the side and even flashes red this time.

...

Zion is on a smaller craft. Probably went somewhere for exploration if not robbing a supply again. Zion sounded wise, confused and angry shouts out...

"WHAT IS THAT!?!?!?!!?"

Narbotth, Florian assign some of the crafts and check what's going on I think the human obsessed fascist swine are onto something!"

Zion caught the wormhole changing late and was already homing back onto the sphere now quite larger than half the size of the Death Star but probably just as lethal if it wanted to be.

Enemy blob-like vessels start shooting in that direction but it all seems to hit a board. Some get diverted away with allies aiming at them then flying away... The vessels only seem to be hitting the invisible space boards as the wormhole begins to shrink whilst flashing a little yellow now whilst remaining largely blue. Suddenly the wormhole has shrunk and gone as Rey and Reinhald make themselves into the cabin.

Rey and the general's faces come very close, very very close together...

General KR: "I remember a lot... I remember Ben"

Rey: "I waited so long for something like this... this... this feels like yesterday..."

General KR: "I waited for so long too. This feels like... 36 YEARS ??? ... Or so... !?!?!?"

Rey's face looked stunned...

Rey: "Ben..."

BBBBWWWVVVVRRRRR !!!!! BOOOOOM !!!!!!!!!

They rush to the windows of the vessel. The invisible walls start to fall from the sides as the Qil-Xyborg are trying to investigate what's happening. The Eagle goes into stealth mode and picks a hole where there are no enemy crafts and flies fast and a small hyperspeed swing before making a slower U-turn as everything is quiet now.

One of the few vessels making the wall takes a hit on the back slowing it but they all fly from the twenty or so Qil-Xyborg crafts shooting to them and escape.

Acknowledging it was nearly 6 years since the Battle of Exegol Rey was saying she's been waiting for something like this. Almost dreaming through the force and the general says since his family fell away to the virus he always felt it wasn't meant to be and the relationship he had in the past was never going to be strong for some reason.

Reinhald: "Yes I had a family but it was never the same feeling with her as it was when I was Ben or Ren in my last life I am beginning to remember. I am."

Rey: "what else can you remember now?"

Reinhald: "a lot more. An old man who looked young who piloted the Falcon Poe rides. Can't remember much about him. I remember the hooded man who tried to control everything!"

Rey: "Palpatine!"

Reinhald: "It's difficult to remember things properly I was born again and around 36 years have passed."

Liena enters: "you were amazing Rey!"

Rey: "thanks... but we were... thank you to your team especially those walls. The design always looked strong and if it wasn't for those strong stealth mode operated walls we would've been taken down into the oblivion"

Lindro: "we can 3D print too. Maybe not as good as the Qil-Xyborg but we are good too"

Communication center message comes in and exchange between Finn and Reinhald. Almost like they are best friends:

"Hey Reinhald how's it been?"

"Hey Finn. We managed to close the wormhole!"

"You did? Good job REY!!! And good job REN!!! I meant Rain ... Rein... Re..."

The general chuckles.

"It's okay....

Are you all back now from your maintenance trip?"

"Almost General! ..." 

Rey begins to inquire:

"Finn.... Hello Finn. How was the temple? Is it all good? Everything up to scratch?"

 "All good!"

"We'll see you soon!"

Suddenly it's Lando and exchanges conversation with the general

"Hey Reinhald! They keep trying to breach Nizrael-Ont. The mine now has around 5 turrets to protect it and miners are constantly sheltering whilst we limit our damages!"

"As long as they don't touch the Fluorochromium it's all that matters"

"I think they are slowing down and retrieving...

We're on it! Goodbye General!"

Everyone was in buzzing mode as they edged closer after a curious look from the window... The edged closer back to Dantooine.
