"Why the fuck are you in my house?" Sunghoon said as he continued to point the gun at him."Are you gonna put that shit down or not?" Jay exclaimed in panic as he raised his arms over his head.
As if they had communicated through their heads, the door was burst open by Jake walking inside with another box in his hand.
"Uncle Jake is ho- What the fuck is going on?" His sentence was interrupted as he almost dropped the box onto the floor.
Sunghoon put down his gun and sighed placing a hand to his forehead.
"Why are you guys just barging into my home at 12 in the morning?" Sunghoon complained, noticing Angelica walk down the hallway.
"Well you shouldn't have given me keys to the lock and we shouldn't have moved into the same building. Yu Ahn told me you were awake and I wanted to bring something I got from the store today." Jake said excited as he placed the box on the couch. "I brought Jay with me."
"I can see that." Sunghoon said as he sat near the kitchen island.
"Show me the room, Beautiful. I can't believe you had Yu Ahn help and not me." Jake said as he placed his arm over Angelica's shoulders and pulling her along.
"Shut the fuck up Jake." Sunghoon warned only getting a loud laugh from him.
Sunghoon rolled his eyes and grabbed a banana from the fruit basket.
Jay awkwardly looked around with his lips pursed.
He had never been in Sunghoon's apartment before.
Sunghoon and Jay's eyes met in a random spurt of moment, making them look away from each other.
"You can sit down you know."
Jay nodded as his eyes dropped onto a white fur ball.
"You have a cat?" He asked excitedly as he walked towards Shortcake, who only stared at him with Sunghoon's icy gaze as if they had learned from each other.
"I see that theory is true. Pets resemble their owners." Jay muttered as he walked to sit on the chair next to Sunghoon.
"I'm not that bad. She doesn't like a lot of people." Sunghoon said defensively as he stared at Shortcake lovingly. "It was surprising she even liked Angelica. Probably because they met when she was a kitten."
Jay nodded in understanding as he also stared at the cat, who lazily walked over and laid at Sunghoon's feet.
Sunghoon leaned down and stroked its head with a small smile.
Jay looked at Sunghoon with his eyebrows raised as he didn't seem as scary at home, compared to when he was in the office.
For instance, his hair was disheveled making him look younger and he even had emerald green silk pajamas on.
This is the first time he had seen him wear color.
He was smiling, which was the most surprising of all.
But he still had a gun laying on the counter, not very far from reach.
"When did you get her?" Jay asked trying to spark up a conversation with him.
For some reason, Jay wanted to become closer to him. He wanted Sunghoon to actually trust him.
Sunghoon seemed to always be hesitant around him and he still didn't know why.
It made him wonder if he really did give off the wrong vibe.
"6 years ago." Sunghoon responded as he continued to stroke Shortcake's head.
