"Scar..." you grabbed the arm of the huge firelight. He stopped and turned back to face you, yourself doggedly standing his gaze under your furrowed brows. "Are there injured as well?" you asked and you saw his eyes jumping towards Ekko's room for the fraction of a second before looking back at you.

"There are..." he sighed. "But they are mostly among the Enforcers." he added, probably believing he could convince you to stay by saying this.

"I'm coming with you." you nodded fiercely and got the hoverboard into your hands. You despised the Enforcers with all your heart, but they were people as well... Plus there probably were Zaunites among the injured.

You hated how Scar believed you couldn't do anything just because there was a chance Ekko wouldn't be happy about it. Ever since he - and a few others - learned about your relationship (could it even be called that?), they started acting like you needed permission for anything slightly dangerous.

Ekko was with Heimerdinger most of the times anyway in the past days, trying to stabilize his invention - the boy liked to call the z-drive - furthermore. It worked perfectly; the only problem was that it could only rewind time until about roughly 4 minutes and it seemed that it wasn't enough for Ekko. You honestly believed he wanted to change the past...

His obsession annoyed you for some unknown reason, even to you. Maybe because you could see him less than ever... Yes, probably that was the case. But you tried to not think about it more than it was necessary and especially tried to avoid being seen as someone's damn possession...

You kicked the pedal on the hoverboard which rose onto the air with you right away, and flew out of the firelights base. You'd be back before Ekko could have noticed you were gone, anyway. And you couldn't just sit back while there were people out there - enforcers or not - you could help.

You let the cold, leading wind brush your cheeks and calm you down as you followed the green sparks of the other firelights' hoverboard in front of you. When you noticed the lights at the end of the huge pipe, you pulled your mask down your face. Ekko gave it to you when you started going out more with the firelights to have your face hidden as well. It represented a head of a crane - he said it was the first that came to his mind when he thought about you.

When you flew out of the pipes, you distanced from each other in the air, always keeping your eyes on the others, while trying to be as discreet as possible. Getting unwanted attention was the last thing firelights usually needed, especially when leaving and entering into the drains. Your hideout had to stay a secret, no matter what. Especially now with the increased number of enforcers patrolling all around the lower city.

But that was exactly the first thing you noticed as you looked down, under you. The lack of golden-blue uniforms shining out of the dirty and worn-down Zaunites' clothes... It was definitely strange. It was true that Piltover's rage was slowly fading away along with the aggression towards Zaun, but having them disappear from one day to another just seemed... odd.

You ducked under when you saw Scar doing to same ahead, diving between the buildings of a lane you'd never been to before, but when you noticed what greeted you among the streets, you almost fell off your hoverboard.

"What the...?" you mumbled when you got close to the ground and jumped off the device, catching it in the air - still a bit clumsily - and hanging it onto your back. All around you - every direction your eyes fell - you could see lifeless bodies of Enforcers lying on the ground. Each one of their faces had been painted with bright pink and blue paint - their eyes all crossed over with the shape of an X. On the walls you could see the same crossed eyes portrait of one person you'd only met once in your life.

Vi.

You stepped speechless among the bodies on the ground, unable to decide whether they were just knocked out or..., - and you couldn't decide where to look - to the walls painted with Vi's face all over, without eyes, or to the ground.

You felt your heartbeat rise inside your chest and when you looked at Scar and Raven by your side, you saw the same perplexity showing on their confused faces.

"What the hell happened here...?" you heard Raven's mumbles by your side and you were just about to open your mouth to say you absolutely had no idea, when you saw someone move on the ground, just a few steps away from you. You immediately rushed to the woman, dizzily awaking, and knelt down next to her right away.

You hoped that if she was coming to, then maybe, the other Enforcers weren't dead either...

You grabbed the face of the young woman and carefully took off the mask she wore on her face to be able to breathe. Silently thinking how big of a hypocrate one had to be to come down and breathe in a device instead of trying to help, get the air better down for everyone. You wondered for a second, did honestly no one ever thought about how Zaun's air was this polluted because the people here had to produce what they used up there?

You tried to put your bias aside as you touched her bare face with your right hand, trying to help her heal faster. The woman furrowed her brows and flinched a little at first but then slowly opened her eyes. At first you could see the confusion evincing on her face but then everything hit her and she sat up like a spring.

"Calm down..." you placed your hands on her shoulders, but you saw her looking for her weapon right away. You were afraid she'd want to hit you with it, but when she finally managed to grab the baton between her hands, she raised it up above her head and looked around herself, heavily breathing.

You saw something - a shadow - moving on the rooftop of a building not far from you but when your eyes jumped at the direction, everything seemed motionless...

"Who..." you had to stop to nervously swallow. "Who did this to you?" you asked and before the woman could had answered, you heard a dry, joyless chuckle above your head. The chuckle then escalated into a hoarse laugh, so maniac, so out of this earth, that you felt all the hair on the back of your head reaching towards the sky.

"Me!
