"She left you a note, Lauren," Sofia sobbed, her tiny hands reaching out to hand me a letter.
I unfolded the paper and tried to read it through the blurriness of my tear-filled eyes.
"My dearest Lauren,
I write to you this letter in order to let you know that I can't go on anymore. It's too hard. The bullying. The depression. The pain. I just can't do it anymore, Lolo."
I didn't even try to choke back the sobs that clawed out of my throat as I continued to read the letter.
"Every day I try to stay strong, telling myself it will be better. I stay strong because you want me to. But this time, it was too hard. The pain is too much. I know you love me, Lauren. And you know I love you. With all of my heart. However, I can't be on this Earth anymore. I hate putting you through this, but you'll move on. You'll find someone who actually deserves you. Not damaged goods like me. I will always love you and although by body will soon be buried six feet under the ground, I leave you my heart. I only ask that you keep it forever. I love you. Goodbye, Lauren.

After reading the letter, I decided the Earth was no longer my place either. I drove home with tears streaming down my face. When I arrived, I sat down to write in my journal.
"Dear Camila", I wrote.
"Life without you is a life I cannot live. I refuse to live in a world where you do not exist. My place on this earth is with you and my job as a human being was to protect you. I tried my best and I know it wasn't much. However, my most important job was to love you. And I know damn well that I loved you with everything I had. You deserve me and I deserve you. I cannot move on nor will I. My time on this planet is over and it is time to say goodbye to all earthly things. See you soon.

It was five minutes later when I grabbed the gun and pulled the trigger, ending my life in the same manner the younger brunette had ended hers just days before.
