Chapter 54

"So that explains everything..." I heard him say. I cocked my head to look at him then she chuckles.

"What? What do you mean?" I ask confused again. Instead of answering me he ask Shane.

"Shane, did you follow us when we leave the party that night?" I turn my head to look at them back and fort. She followed us? Oh my gosh, I don't know what to feel. I want to get annoyed with this, but there's a part of me that wants to laugh so hard.

She nods a little and smile. I just shook and bend my head while biting my lip to stop myself from laughing out loud.

"So you know where we went that night? And you didn't tell Kate that?" I said grinning. She nods and I can see that she's already scared. Oh no, poor Shane.

And this time, I can't take it anymore. I laugh out loud while they were just looking at me, like I am becoming crazy.

"Whooo! W-wait, let me calm f-first," I said while trying to tranquil myself.

"Ohh...kay, wait until Kate knows about this. She will be furious, especially at you, Shane." I said while wiping my tears of joy. I saw her getting more scared than she already is.

"Keira don't scare her like that," My dad scolded me. I just laughs.

"Dad...Kate will be furious with the both of you too. She was so scared when mom called her using her angry voice, you know that she's afraid of that—I mean we...we are both afraid of that," I said grinning. He just shrugged, my dad is so cool. They're like a teenagers making fun of us.

I saw Shane fidgeting her nails because of nervousness. I laughs a little and approached her.

"Shane..." She quickly look at me in horror, she maybe thought that I am going to scold her or worse fire her, I wouldn't do that. I chuckles.

"Calm down, don't get too nervous. I got you, and besides Kate was not here so you don't have to wor—" I was cut off by someone shouting my name. I am very positive that it was, Kate. My eyes widen when I heard her, Shane did the same too and hide herself behind me.

She's afraid of Kate right now, she fooled Kate when she told her that she doesn't know where we went that night. Kate was the one who told me that she ask Shane too if she knew where we are, and she said she did not know.

"Don't worry, I got you," I said to Shane before turning around to greet Kate.

"Keira!" She called me again worrying while running towards me. She hug me, I laughs at her a little.

"I'm okay," I said when I pull away. She then glance at my parents, King and when her eyes found Shane she frowns.

"Wait...what are you doing here Shane?" She ask confused. I look at Shane who's terrified to answer her. I face Kate again.

"My mom called her," I said she was still frowning.

"By the way, why are you here? You said that Uncle called you and it was emergency? You settled it already?" I ask trying to convert her mind. She sigh and she looks irritated.

"No, he said it was emergency, but when I got there he was just messing with me, no emergency at all," She said pouting, cute. I grin.

"Well, that's good, I'm worried when you left," I said, we're just talking like no one is around. She frowns.

"Worried? I am the one who's worried about you? Did you settle things here? What happen?" She said whispering the last sentence. I laughs then my mom suddenly spoke.

"Kate honey, next time if you want to whisper try keeping it down a little so we can't hear you," She said teasing Kate. Kate pout again, we just laughed at them. She approach my parents and hug them. She was afraid when she got here because she thought that my mom was really angry.

"You're not angry anymore Untie?" She ask like a child. My mom caressed her face and spoke.

"I'm not angry, I'm sorry that I scared you with my voice," My mom said with a soothing sound. She treats Kate as her daughter also.

"Yah, I did. I was so scared and I can't contact Keira, I lost my mood to party and got to the hotel early because your voice seemed like drained me in an instant, then I also ask Shane if she knew where they went, but she doesn't know where they are too," She explained or more like a complaining child who got stolen her candy by someone. We chuckles because of her rants. Then she suddenly approach Shane. Shane got startle by her sudden actions.

"What are you doing here Shane?" She ask her again. Oh gosh, I thought she already forgot about that. Shane can't answer her, she bow her head and I know that Kate was really scaring her right now. When I'm about to approach them my mom spoke.

"I was the one who called her to come here...and also, I hired her to spy those two," My mom said, I sigh. Kate will never gonna leave this behind until she knows what's been going on.

"Spy? Them?" She said them point at me and King with a confused look. My mom nods.

"But—WHY?" She states emphasizing the word 'Why'. Then my mom told her everything like what they told us a while ago.

And then...

"WHAT?!" She screamed after my mom told her everything. Well, I expected that kind of reaction from her. King whispered something to me.

"She was a little bit scary in that kind of state. I feel bad for Nicholas," He said in jesting tone, I just glared at him and pinch his side for making fun of Kate. He just laughs at me, I just shakes my head.

"Shane! You know where they went that night?!" She asked her furious. Shane just nod and can't even look at Kate's eyes.

"And you didn't bother to tell me?!" She was furious, I need to calm her now. I approach her.

"Kate," I calmly call her.

"What?!" Woah! I was surprised by that.

"Calm down, I know how you feel. Shane has nothing to do with this, it was all my parents doing, Shane just followed what they said." I explained. She was really angry, she doesn't want someone fooling her.

"She's right, Kate. It was all me, I hired her because I can't trust you to do it without her knowing," My mom said calmly. She sighs.

"But, why?" She ask annoyed while pouting.

"You two are like sisters, you knew each others weaknesses and secrets, right? And you also knew about their contract, but you didn't bother to tell me that, right?... You are too loyal with each other, if I let you do it I'm not gonna make sure that you will never gonna tell her all of my plans," My mom explained, Kate's face softens and sighed again.

"Right. I can't guarantee you that," She said still pouting. My mom pinch her cheek.

"You are so cute, Kate." She said, I laughs. Kate doesn't want that, so she immediately frowns. And we all laughs at her.

After a while.

"Don't get angry at Shane, okay?" I said to her, she nods then I smiled.

"Okay, I know that I scared her a while ago," She states then chuckles. I just nods while laughing with her. She hug me.

"I am happy that everythings okay now between the two of you and your parents," She said then pull away and smiles at me.

"You deserved to be happy, I've been waiting for this to come to you, and now look at you...your smiles are different now, because you're in love." She said teasing me, I just laughs then glance at King who is now talking to my dad, he caught me then wink at me, Kate noticed that. She playfully grins at me.

"You're blushing girl," She said teasing me more. I just shrug and smiled widely. She laughs at me. She hug Shane too and apologize for over reacting, Shane did the same. I just look at them smiling.

Everything is good now. My parents are happy, I am happy, we are happy. And I am inlove...again.
