𝘼𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙 in the scrambled words of the thick literature. Her desired book practically super-glued to her rosey fingertips. Different words, and lengthy phrases all toppled heftly into her mind.
Her chocolate iris' sped over the black lines, her blonde curls threating to cover her sight as the wind sprayed the spirals before her face. She let her lips silently mouth each word, her nose taking subconscious deep breaths.
She smelt all the painfully beautiful nature around her. The dowry emerald grass below her bare feet, the sweet scent of the spring air, and the faint woody smell of the bark on the scattered trees.
It was edging closer to sunset, so the weather rested on the colder side. Not freezing though. No, the wind proved to hold the perfect force of breeze and blow of relieving air.
With each gust of wind, the junipers and daisies inched into her nasal, practically swarming her sensitive allergies, but she didn't let that stop her from reading her book.
The occasional sniffs of her nose and licks of her lips allowed her freely irritating sounds to interrupt Natasha's peaceful rest as well. She flicks Letty's bent knee when she sniffs again, making Alouette laugh as she swats her hand away.
She doesn't even realize when the chill of the air gets sharper. She hardly realizes the sun has long traveled past the mountains and the moon has risen along with speckled stardust. She doesn't even realize the way the words get harder to read with only the silver light of the moon to guide her.
She frowns when she turns the page of the book- she hadn't even realized she'd finished it. She pushes on each end of the novel, letting the spine snap into place as the words become entrapped within the two cardboard walls.
Natasha sits up, smiling at Alouette, "Finished?" She asks, looking at her friends red eyes and nose. She nods, reciprocating the red-heads smile and standing from the grass.
Alouette Clementine hardly realized anything anymore. She was a stinging ray of sunshine, a blissful beam of happiness. Anyone who flew too close to her was burned by her bubbly personality.
She was sweet, her words were always soft and delicate, her movements were always graceful. She danced beautifully like the tall strands of grass in the chirping wind. She was the nectar in a wildflower and all the flowers needed her to stay alive.
She was the honey that swarmed the beehive and all the bee's craved her presence. She was the sweetness, and they all wanted their teeth to ache.
But just because she was happy, didn't mean she was aware.
Far from it actually. She always had a smile, whether she was zoning into the horizon or not. Conversation around her was usually fueled, but she hardly ever understood what they were saying.
