𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 the bar, Letty doesn't even take a moment to search and see if James had already arrived. Instead, she makes her way to the island and immediately takes a seat on a stool.

"Hey," she hears a loud voice, "What are you doing here at this time?"

She looks up to see Sam, a goofy grin on his face that usually accompanied him everywhere. "It's only 8:30," she informs him.

"Yeah, we'll that's too late for donuts," he states. The only reason Letty had ever come to the bar was for his donuts, seeing as she didn't drink much.

"I'm not here for donuts," she tells him.

"Ooohhh," he wiggles his eyebrows, "Got yourself a little date, huh?"

She laughs, shaking her head, "It's not a date." Even though that's absolutely what it is.

"Yeah alright," he nods, clearly unconvinced. "So, where is he?"

"Where is who?" She asks, twirling her thumbs around each other under the bar.

He smirks, not looking at her, but behind her. Turning her head, she sighs out a harsh breath.

"You don't sound happy to see me," James says as he moves to sit next to her. She watches intensely as his large frame sits down, his thighs spreading to make room for the rest of him.

It took her by surprise to see that he wasn't in formal clothes, but instead jeans and a tan flannel shirt. His hair though, was still a fluffy mess of waves that she had a strong urge to run her fingers through.

She was temporarily silenced, the sharp smell of his aftershave intoxicating her. "I am," she assures him after a moment.  He smirks in her direction, going to say something before he's interrupted.

"Can I get you guys anything?" Sam says, a humorous look warping his features.

"A cupcake," Alouette answers jokingly, earning a frown from both Sam and James.

"This is a bar," Sam explains, "Not your personal bakery."

James cocks an eyebrow at the banter, and mention of 'personal,' sensing that the two of them are a little closer than he originally thought.

"James, this is Sam," Alouette introduces, "He owns the bar. Sam this is James, he's my friend."

Sam laughs, "Nice to meet you man," he puts his hand out to shake. James takes it, gripping it rather harshly before giving it a shake. "Tell you what, first two drinks are on the house."
