𝙄𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 barely six in the morning when Alouette was up out of bed. She slides into the kitchen, her socks aiding her on the hardwood. Grabbing onto the counter to stop herself, she pours her pills into her hand and pops them into her mouth, swallowing them down with a glass of water.

She eats some kiwi and banana for breakfast, savoring each tart bite of the fruit before walking to the restroom to take a long, hot shower.

She relishes in the feeling of the hot water massaging her scalp, feeling the stream run down her entire body in scolding euphoria.

She squirts some lavender shampoo into her hand and massages it into her scalp, feeling the lather build up. Running her hands through her hair, she frowns.

Pulling her hands down in front of her face, her eyes widen in alarm. Large clumps of blonde sit in her palms, shampoo still lingering on bits.

She shuts off the shower and grabs a towel, wrapping it around herself before walking to the mirror.

She stares at her reflection, there were a couple bruises on her shoulder and arm, the effect of low iron causing her to bruise easily.

She grabs a brush and runs it through her hair, confused and a little scared, when large patches of hair start to come off on the bristles. Panic starts to flood her and she sets the brush down, biting on her lip nervously.

She promise Ivy that she would go to Irene's for movie night, so she couldn't just avoid the problem.

She knows it's not from chemo, because she hasn't been going. There was only one other reason this would happen, and it's happened for the same reason before.

Micronutrient Deficiency is what Dr. Banner called it. She was starting to lose hair because she didn't have enough nutrients in her body to support the cell growth and function.

Eyeing a pair of scissors in the drawer of the sink, she brings her eyes back up to the mirror and fingers her curls, contemplating.

She reaches for the shears without thinking. Long hair was too high maintenance anyway.

Approaching the diner slowly, Letty rubs her glossed lips together, pulling her jacket tight to her body. Today was the first day of fall, so the temperature was beginning to cool down significantly. She even wore shoes today, not wanting to freeze her feet off.

She smiles to herself when she thinks about the fact that she's now known James for almost four months. Granted, she hadn't actually remembered the first three weeks, and most in between she hadn't even talked to him- but she'd met him six months ago.
