Last chapter:

How badly Robin wanted answers to those horrifying questions about those universes, he forced them into silence as he held his head and breathed in and out.

Eventually, there were no thoughts about his existence at all, just the last thing Tom told him before leaving him alone. Making him stand his ground again as he watched the clouded sky deep in thought.

'Find your way to the castle safely.'

And that was what he was going to do.

He decided to take the path on his right. He looked around to try and find anything, to observe any changes this world has than his.

He noticed after walking for a few minutes that he recognized the path he was taking. It was the path that led to the village. He followed the path while trying to stay focused.

Normally walking through the forest at night was never a big deal for him, but this time it was different.

The aura of this world felt so wrong. Apparently, there were hostile people and creatures located here too, and he had no defenses. This wasn't his world after all. He was basically a no-one in here. No one but an intruder.

He heard some rumbling in the distance and looked up at the sky.

The moon was bright but was slowly being blocked off by some clouds. The moon looked like it had a red glow to it, but Robin could've just imagined it. But he knew for sure that a storm was coming, hearing by the rumbling in the distance.

His eyes left the sky as he noticed some glimpse of light before him.

His mouth opened in shock the closer he got as he realized he made it to the village and fully saw the state it was in.

A few torches lit up the lonely and broken walls. Houses were at some parts destroyed. Some stalls at the market were fully broken down. The wooden pillars holding the stalls up have broken down by the wood being rotten. Only rotten supplies and half-eaten fruits were laying around, some overgrowing by mold, flies buzzing around them.

Robin tried to look through some broken windows but didn't see any signs of life.

Not even an animal was to be found, except some bats hanging on the ceilings and spiders that had made their homes in the corner of the ceilings.

Robin had to hold his nose shut as he walked past the food stalls, shooing away flies that were checking him out.

It was practically a ghost village. Robin didn't even try to call out to anyone to see if there was someone out there. It didn't even feel safe to be loud here. God, even standing there didn't feel safe.

He felt unwelcome. Although no one was there to point him to the exit, it felt like numerous eyes glared at him to leave. Robin decided it was best to leave as fast as possible.

Suddenly, Tom's voice broke through, making Robin gasp to himself at the sudden noise.

"I don't think it's best if you stay here long. I don't feel any presence here either, but...something about this place doesn't feel safe, now does it?" Tom said. Robin nodded to himself, agreeing with Tom.
