Last chapter:

Suddenly, a cracking noise was heard. Robin yelped to himself as the bridge began to move and pull itself up, losing his balance. Robin had no time to react and get a better grip on something.

The bridge went up and Robin -with nothing to hold onto, rolled harshly on his back down the wooden bridge.

He hit his head and back on the ground harshly as the bridge thumped loudly, shutting itself completely. The other Robin's laughter was heard from behind the entrance as another sound was added to the bridge.

"Have fun with the royals! I'm sure they'll love you intruding their place!"

The metal door fell down, locking Robin in completely.

Robin sat up quickly and rubbed his head, trying to ease the throbbing pain, but to no avail.

"Who's there?!" A gruff voice was heard.

Robin gasped silently to himself before he quickly jumped up, hiding behind a thick wooden pole that was supporting a roof. He looked from behind the pole and saw that it was a guard holding a torch that was patrolling.

Upon looking further around, Robin noticed that was the only guard that was patrolling there. No others were found, not even on the castle's walls.

As he saw the torch in the guard's hands, he suddenly remembered the torch from the village he took with him. At least the part that was left of it.

He grasped his bag and took the stick that was now broken in two out. Probably having broke at the impact of him falling off the bridge. He heard some footsteps from his left and saw the guard holding something in his hands, observing it.

Robin had to think fast.

He aimed the broken stick toward some corner of the castle square and threw it as hard as he could. A loud bang was heard, followed by some other things falling.

Looks like he hit the right spot.

The guard stood up abruptly and turned to look in that direction, dropping the object on the ground, which turned out to be a broken rock of sorts.

"I said who's there?!" the guard snapped as he walked towards the corner.

Robin sighed to himself as he sneaked past the guard. He had to be fast as he saw the guard already looking at the fallen stuff on the floor. He had no time to observe the castle square further. He had to move now.

He opened the entrance of the castle a little bit just so he could fit through, and closed the door silently behind him, leaving the guard to his pointless search.

He leaned his back to the door and sighed to himself in relief. Then he shook his head a little bit, trying to get his focus back on him.

He looked around the hall to see no guards and quickly walked between the two stairs, finding it best if he hid for a little bit. Just to be sure.

It was dark in the castle. No light was seen at all. A gushing of wind was heard outside and more patters from the rain were tapping harshly on the windows.
