A/N:

This was meant to be a 3k oneshot, yet here we are with over 6 instead. I need help with story length omfg.

For the people that have requested the oneshots for King Richard and Prince John, I don't have the right inspiration for those right now as one of them has a bit of a difficult plot, but rest assured, they're still in the making, just slower then other stories right now. Apologies for the long wait. (The reason it's so difficult is because the given context is little to few. I always want to hit atleast 2-3k Words in every oneshot and cannot come far with this request. Writing just cuddles for the whole story and still reach 2k words is HaRd-)

Title: Just close friends or more?

Summary:

Two friends acting a little too close with each other confuse the Vikings for months. Until the Viking chief himself breaks during a banquet and asks an already moody prince for answers, catching the unwanted attention of many bystanders, including a certain duo. Confessions were accidentally screamed out, and truths were told.

The Vikings were confused, to say the least. Since the moment they tried pillaging the castle and almost succeeding -if it wasn't by a certain sneak attack, and saw you together with the king, questions were made.

It was when they first attacked the castle when they laid eyes on you and the king. Both seemed to be interrupted by them while taking a walk around the castle square. Richard held you protectively behind him whether you wanted it or not, clearly unsure about the Viking's intentions.

When the castle staff was beaten easily by Harald's hammer, they locked you both in the same cell with the Sheriff, an iron chain around your ankles. The guards both heard how you reassured him that everything would be alright and that it would all be over soon, saying that there would be backup arriving. The Vikings, not knowing about the plotting archer with his friends and rival close by, just laughed at your words when they walked out of the prison, not before making sure to tell their chief about the stated imprisonment. And that's where the confusion began.

"Chief, we have the king(s)/and queen locked up in the cell together with the sheriff. We don't need to worry about those wimps anymore. Although the king/queen said the arrival of a backup." They warned as Harald nodded. He didn't see anything royal with the king/queen as they didn't really dress like royalty as that circlet head did. But hearing from his fellow Viking they must be his partner. "Then be sure to stay on extra guard today, we don't wanna lose our castle already!" He ordered as he held his hammer up in the air, receiving cheers from the others who quickly went to their post on the castle's walls.

A short time later, and there was a battle going on in the same castle square. He saw that same kid in green again, Robin Hood if he was correct, and some of his accomplices fighting alongside him. His daughter sadly fell in the manure again, losing yet another battle against the archer.
