At last, she made it. The journey was difficult and treacherous due to her weakened physical condition, but she somehow found the will to keep moving forward. Perhaps it was the bloodlust within her that powered her on.
The Kadai Forest Facility.
Kurome had a lot of memories of this place. Many were good, but there was always that one memory that she hated. The day her big sister betrayed her and joined forces with the Revolutionary Army.
That one always left a sour taste in her mouth. The one person she thought she could trust and depend on in this world left her by herself. She would always hold this against Akame. Even now, as the two stood face-to-face for the first time in months.
Big sister was her normal stoic self. It made it quite hard to tell how she was feeling at the moment, but Kurome had an idea.
Akame: Kurome.
Kurome: We finally meet again... Big sister.
A sickly sweet smile adorned her facial features while the tone of her voice was the exact opposite of what she showed. Akame frowned at this while her little sister brought out a pack of pocky and offered it.
Kurome: Want a snack?
This turned Akame's frown upside down. She graciously took the offer as the two-headed inside a run-down church and sat on opposite pews.
Kurome: Do you remember this place? This is where we were reunited after so long!
Akame silently nodded, signaling that she did remember the place they were in currently. Seems that her little sister wanted to take a trip down memory lane.
Kurome: This is also the place where you betrayed me and the Empire.
... An aggressive trip down memory lane, it seems. Big sister froze as she was about to chomp down on another stick of pocky. She closed her eyes painfully, not wanting to see the look of hurt on her baby sister's face.
Kurome: After the Empire had us separated for so long, we were finally reunited again. I remember how happy I felt then. You and I became inseparable after that, never leaving each other's side. We did everything together! And yet...
Her voice began to crack as she was nearly ready to break down. Contrary to the belief of some people, Kurome is a person with actual feelings. Even if her vision and ideals were scuffed, she still had a right to feel some way about the situation. And in this one, Akame was the hero who betrayed her little sidekick and joined forces with the dark side. That wasn't what truly happened, but to Kurome, that was the reality she lived in.
Kurome: None of that mattered to you. Even after we were separated and brought back together, you still turned your back on me and the Empire.
She quickly raised from the pew and pointed Yatsufusa at Akame's face.
Kurome: Even if I hate what you did, I still can't help but love you, Big Sister. That's why I, and nobody else, has to be the one to kill you.
Akame stared at Kurome with a straight face before standing up and placing a hand on Murasame. There wasn't much, if anything, she could say to Kurome. The animosity between them reached an all-time high.
Now, they would settle it the only way they knew how.

The more he thought, the more he dreaded making his decision.
While there was nothing he most certainly could've stopped Kurome, (Y/N) still decided to let her go. The reason for this regret was not merely because of how Wave would react, nor the simple fact he had basically sentenced Kurome to an early(earlier) grave.
