We were all in art class, the boys always loved this time because all the girls and boys were all packed in one room, but the downside is that we were all far away from one another with our desks titled up with our white boards on it for drawing, but it didn't matter, I loved art class because it had mystery and distance between us and the girls and self-expression for me because I was good at it and to admire and make the best of even being in the same room as Heaven, the thing about a lasting burning desire to be with someone, a relationship, or even marriage is distance so things can grow and blossom because you never know if you really love someone until you're without them.
My mom knew I loved art; I have tons of arts pieces at home that I made myself. She is very proud of my accomplishments within myself and always tells me to stay focused on that and we all know why. I walked into art class and sat down next to Leonardo, the art class was decorative as every other place on the island with a beaded door, colorful walls, art pieces on the walls and enough paint, glitter, or whatever materials we needed to make our paintings, and everyone already had their desks leaned up and their blank boards ready to be painted on and a lot of people already started. It was mostly constant giggles of the girls, and everyone repeatedly tried to start up conversations trying to be sneaky.
This was my mom Mina and Ban's way of letting us at least get a feel of the girls they know or at least my mom knows that pulling things apart especially people with feelings always brings them closer and she just doesn't want me to be sneaky so she would prefer I would tell her about any woman I am interested in because she knows for a fact that a lot of women are trying to be my girl because I'm her son but I mostly don't want a lot of girls, I'm not a player and wouldn't that just lead to a quicker death. I want one woman that is beautiful, intelligent and can soon learn to figure out this island and conquer our new life together.
I looked over at Leonardo and he was instantly trying to flirt with Keisha, and she was into it, she sat next to Jasmine and on the other side of her was Heaven and she was speaking to Jasmine, it seemed as if they were talking about something urgent and my mom was steadily focused on me while I tried to figure out the conversation then my mom motioned for me to come over and I sighed before getting up to talk to her. I knew exactly what this conversation would be about, I haven't even done anything yet and she is suspecting that I am.
"I know you think I brought you over here to yell at you, I am not. I just want to tell you for the millionth time to be careful, she is a beautiful girl but remain in your body because you don't know her yet, and please focus on loving her from a distance like this place is designed to do." She said with a smile, and I smiled back, I am never trying to make my mom mad, but she knows I would never betray her and now as a mother with a now teenager, she needs to learn how to let go, death is guaranteed but love is a probability and if it's a possibility then there's no fun in waiting on me to die without it.
