Heaven POV
Side by side, me and Angelic held hands as we sat beside each other at the funeral service for Leonardo, I tried not to cry for the second time in my lifetime, I was only seventeen going to be eighteen in a few short days, I wanted every man to make it, but this life is a scam, but it can't all be since I feel a part of Leonardo's death I just wanted the purple rock back that rock was going to make everything okay I'm sure of it it's crazy because people don't like oblivion because they don't know what will happen but what they don't understand is that without oblivion we have nothing and we know we have no hope, no faith in anything is agonizing and terrifying, you have to have a trust for something
Woman, man, babies, trees, air, grass, moon, sun, water, were all perfectly made with a purpose and work wonders, they are structured in a way that someone has put in work behind it, somebody, entity, whoever has made it this way and of course we are all scrambled in thought judging other, judging ourselves, wanting to live differently, wondering why people die, wondering why some people kill innocent people at random times and thinking no one comes back, but magic is a thing, whether us humans were not supposed to find it or use it but it's real and we had it in the palm of our hands but Keisha, Kianna's daughter Keisha is a murderer like her momma I can feel it
The horn sounded early in the morning for us to figure this out one thing about this island we gone get a funeral going early in the morning, late at night, in the evening we are ready for a burial and that's the saddest thing ever to bury these young boys and all at the age of eighteen, eighteen is really a nightmare, murderous age, no mother wants to see their boy in death especially way before their time, they just wanted to be warriors, to take care of their mothers, to learn how to hunt and be the protectors of the house at least that's what Angelic told me and now everyone is looking at us like the number one enemies in here, we loved the right way, we kept distance
Luna was crying the loudest and even though Nina didn't like Luna, she cried too and you could see it in her eyes that she wanted to comfort her but their rivalry runs too deep, runs right into her inner child's heart of finding out someone she loved didn't love her and it led to years of knowing and knowing she couldn't have anyone else or feel love for anyone else, it's almost like love has a place and it does, love knows where it belongs, if love is in a house, in a relationship, in a restaurant, love can feel it as well, if the love left it's because it knew it couldn't grow in a negative atmosphere, a toxic one where women of this island feel like love has to be sealed tight, kept in a cage, obsessed over, love is your friend, your companion, to let love be love you have to let it move freely, love knows where it supposed to be, it'll come to you
After seeing Leonardo's body lifeless on that sand and we all crowded around him as Luna dropped to her knees, we knew this wouldn't be the last death, so we had to push our plan faster out into the open because we had nothing left and the unknown was our only friend and we had to push for a change and be willing to trust each other no matter what happened or who got hurt, Angelic told me all about love these past few months and I love and respect him, I just need another form of protection from his words, from these judgmental village for the go for what we are trying to do cause I know he loves me as well and he knows I'd never hurt him
