CHAPTER FORTY-ONE
"PAANO mo nahanap ang tagong silid na ito?" tanong ni Flint habang palabas kami. Tinulungan niya akong isara ang pinto dahil medyo may kabigatan iyon.
"I accidentally found it," I replied nonchalantly. "So ano nga 'yong sinasabi mo? Who betrayed the royal family?"
Actually may kutob na ako kung sino eh. I just need a confirmation. And declared a war? I am quite flabbergasted. So there is a brewing war at the moment.
"Hindi ko alam kung sino eh. Pero member daw ng Royal Court. May kapapadalang sulat si Brand," sagot niya. Mabilis naming tinungo ang dining room at naabutan si Uncle Pyr kasama ang iba pang miyembro ng grupo na hindi sumama sa Nevada.
"Uncle, what happened?" I asked frantically. Hindi niya ako sinagot at iniabot lang sa akin ang isang pamilyar na envelope. This is the same envelope where Brand put his letter the last time he wrote. Dali-dali ko iyong binuksan at binasa ang nakasulat.
~~~~~
Greetings,
It's me, Isbrand Delwyn. There is something bad happened during the coronation. After the high priest put the crown on my brother's head, three armed sorcerers who are parts of the Royal Guards entered the hall without permission. They sent a message that says this:
"Give up the throne. If not, a flood would fill your land with the blood of your people."
Indeed, it's a threat and we have concluded that it came from one of the members of the Royal Court. We are now tracking where the letter came from. I am, again, asking for your consideration because I will stay here for a little while more. We still have no clue who killed my father, my mother is still not on her normal state, and there is a traitor inside our territory.
But despite this, the coronation was successfully done. Hail, long live to King Blaze Delwyn, his majesty.
Sincerely yours,
Isbrand Delwyn
What a cunning traitor. I know who it is. I know who sent that threatening letter.
"Kailangan nating pumunta sa Nevada. Alam ko kung sino ang traydor na tinutukoy ni Brand. We need to warn them!" nag-aalala kong sabi nang ibaba ko ang sulat.
"Here we go again," Flint murmured but it clearly reached my ear. Masama ko siyang tinignan at nagkibit-balikat lang siya sa akin.
"Sino ang hula mo?" curious na tanong ni Aunt Ember.
"It's not hula, Auntie," I corrected her. "Ngayon-ngayon lang, I found a secret room. It's my father's office and I saw some polaroid photos of three men. The men on the photos were my father, Uncle Pyr and Lord Albus Aeronwen."
Nagkatinginan sila at gulat na nagbulungan. Nagtatakang napalingon si Uncle Pyr sa akin.
"Albus?" gulat niyang tanong. "How did you come up with that conclusion?"
"Well," panimula ko. Feeling ko nagde-defense ako sa mga panels. Lahat sila ay mapanghusgang nakatitig sa akin.
"My mind formed a theory, when I saw your photos together, that the three of you were best of friends. Is that correct?" Nabaling ang lahat ng tingin nila kay Uncle na agad namang tumango.
"Albus, Aiden and I were really close to each other. Before the rebellion that broke out eighteen years ago, we went to Arinth. That's where we shot those photographs," pagkumpirma niya. So my deduction is right. Naks! Nag-aala Sherlock Holmes na ako rito ha. I suddenly miss London.
