After a whole lot of dates, Jasmine had finally met your family. And now she was determined to prove she was good for you by being a great aunt to your niece.

"What exactly am I putting in here?" Jasmine asked cluelessly, holding your niece's small backpack.

You giggled softly and scooped up the small child, carrying her over to Jasmine. This would be the first time your girlfriend would be interacting with your niece without the young girl's parents with you, and you were quite interested to see how she would be around kids. "Juice and snacks. A couple of her smaller toys. Just things to keep her entertained if she starts getting fussy."

Jasmine nodded, grabbing a juice box and setting it in the bag before looking down at your niece. She stared up at Jasmine with wide eyes before starting to whine, stuffing her face in your shoulder.

You sighed, bouncing her in your arms to get her to cheer up. "She's nice, hun I promise."

Jasmine rubbed her arm, looking down. "I don't think she likes me all that much..."

You shook your head, raising a hand to Jasmine's cheek. "No no, baby. She's just getting used to you. She's still a little shy around new people."

Jasmine leaned against your hand and nodded a little, tossing a couple snacks into the bag. "I really hope she'll get used to me."

You smiled and kissed her cheek softly. "Would you like to hold her while I go grab her stroller?"

Jasmine looked nervous, glancing down at her. "Will she let me?-"

"I'm sure she will as long as I'm in her sight." You said and handed her off to Jasmine, humming as you went to grab the stroller.

Jasmine watched you go and stood as still as possible. She was afraid of somehow triggering tears from your niece. She held her stiffly, looking down at her. "...Hi."

Your niece stared at her, quiet for a moment before letting out an ear piercing scream and crying. Jasmine jumped and panicked, trying to console her by rocking her. "Okay nevermind I take back the hi-"

You looked over and sighed, setting up the stroller before taking your niece back from Jasmine. Her crying immediately stopped, and you tried your best not to laugh. "My sweet, you're gonna have to get used to Jazzy." You carried her to the stroller and set her down. "Because she isn't going anywhere."

Jasmine sighed as she watched, feeling embarrassed and helpless. She was really trying her best, but she had never been the greatest around kids. Maybe she was just trying too hard and it scared them all. Maybe she talked too much and it annoyed them. She didn't know what else to do. All her other friends and fellow queens seemed to do fine around them. They seemed to gravitate towards Deja, Maddy and Kerri had been talking about adopting kids in the future, and hell even Bosco was alright with them. It made Jasmine feel bad.

"Jazzy?" You snapped her out of her thoughts, taking the small bag off the counter and swinging it over your shoulders. "You alright baby? I promise it wasn't your fault-"

"I'm fine." She interrupted and managed to smile a little. "I swear, I'm fine."

You didn't know if that was exactly true. You hoped having Jasmine take your niece to the park with you would help them start to bond. Because you knew for a fact Jasmine would be around for quite a long time.

You reached your hand out for hers as you pushed the stroller down the sidewalk, lacing your fingers together. "Maybe she'll let you push her on the swings? If she's having fun she might not even notice it's you doing it."

Jasmine nodded a little, squeezing your hand a little nervously. It was odd for her to be so quiet, so you gave her a gentle nudge. "I can't wait till she's a little older and we can bring her to one of your more appropriate shows." You tried making her smile. "She's gonna absolutely love all your outfits."

"Y-Yeah." Jasmine stuttered out, looking down at your niece who looked at everything you passed by with wide eyes. She had to admit that it was adorable. It made her wish that she would actually like her. "I hope so..."

You sighed, reaching up to kiss her cheek softly. "Auntie Jazzy has a nice ring to it."

Jasmine blushed, and she couldn't help but smile. She swung your hands slightly as you walked up the trail to the park. She reluctantly let go of your hand to let you unbuckle your niece and pick her up. "You got the stroller Jazzy?"

She nodded, taking over pushing it as you led her to the swings. You carefully set your niece down in it, smiling when she kicked in excitement.

Jasmine leaned against the stroller and watched, giggling softly when she heard your niece start laughing and clapping. It was precious, and she couldn't help but gaze at you and admire how much you loved your niece and how much she loved you.

She could only hope your niece would like her that much one day.

"Would you like to push her, Jazzy?" You asked, slowing the swing down a bit so it didn't go up too high. "I'm sure she won't mind."

Jasmine looked nervous, glancing at your niece who continued to laugh. "Are you sure? I really don't want to make her cry again-"

You grabbed her hand, pulling her closer. "Just stand right here and gently push the swing. I'll stand in her sight so she knows she's okay."

Jasmine hesitated but did as she was told, giving the swing a gentle nudge. Your niece tilted her head back to look at Jasmine, quiet before starting to laugh when realizing it was her who was pushing her. She clapped her hands again, smiling.

Your heart felt like it was melting as you watched them finally having a good interaction. "See? I told you Auntie Jazzy was nice!" You cooed to your niece, making her laugh more as leaned against the edge of the swing.

Jasmine beamed, proud of herself for not making her cry. She continued to push her in the swing and make her laugh, stopping when all her laughing gave her the hiccups.

"I think it's time for a little break." You smiled and lifted her out of the swing, pecking Jasmine's cheek. "Good job, love."

Jasmine blushed softly, still smiling as she followed behind you with the stroller. It was all starting to make her think about the future, and she felt a little more confident about doing that now.

You picked a spot under a shady tree, sitting down in the grass with your niece in your lap. You opened the bag and grabbed one of her juices, hoping it would stop the hiccups. Jasmine settled down beside you, glancing down at your niece once more.

She was waiting patiently for her juice, hiccups slowing down a little. She looked up at Jasmine, starting to smile as she raised her arms up. "Auntie up?"

Jasmine's eyes widened and you gasped softly. She had only ever called you auntie before. You nudged Jasmine and giggled quietly. "Someone wants you."

Jasmine nodded and nervously picked her up, setting her down in her lap as you handed her her juice. Your niece leaned against Jasmine's chest as she drank it, and you admired the sight.

"Your heart melting yet?" You asked with a laugh, wrapping an arm around one of Jasmine's.

Jasmine nodded again quickly, wide eyes still resting on your niece. "Oh trust me, it is-"
