Orion almost felt light headed when she pulled away from Alyssa's lips. She was in a daze, leaning her head against the taller girl's chest and trying to hide her face. Alyssa giggled softly, moving a hand off of her hip and up to her cheek.

"You're adorable." She smiled, gently tilting Orion's head up and kissing her again. Orion was lost in the feeling, moving her lips in sync with hers and pulling her down closer.

But something started to feel off. When they pulled away again, she looked around. "...Where's Jorgeous?"

Alyssa tilted her head, following her gaze. "She said she was getting a drink. You don't see her?"

Orion shook her head. Her best friend was usually hard to spot in crowds, but this time felt different. "No, something's wrong..." She took Alyssa's hand, leading her through the crowd of other students. "Jorgeous?"

She didn't see her anywhere. She wasn't anywhere they looked. Orion began to slightly panic, and Alyssa squeezed her hand in an effort to keep her calm.

"It's alright." She said comfortingly, her thumb tracing gentle circles against Orion's hand. "I'm sure she isn't far."

Orion hoped she wasn't. Her heart ached at the thought of Jorgeous being upset. She didn't exactly know why she thought she was, but she could feel it. Her mind raced as she tried to think of a reason why, but she came up with nothing.

She eventually pulled Alyssa out of the school, freezing when she saw Jorgeous struggling to stand on shaking legs. "Tiny?" She said in a panic, rushing to her side. "Jorgie what happened? What's wrong?"

Jorgeous felt another sob build up just at the sound of Orion's voice. She almost fell back to the ground until her best friend's arms were wrapped around her to keep her up. Orion turned her around so she was facing her, looking at her tear stained face in shock. "Jorgie..."

Jorgeous hiccuped, trying to hide her face. "I-I wanna go home..." She whimpered, not meeting Orion's eyes.

"Can you please tell me why...?" Orion asked softly, trying to dry the smaller girl's tears that wouldn't stop spilling. "Did something happen?"

Even if Jorgeous wanted to tell her, she couldn't. She couldn't form the words. She sniffled, trying to catch her breath as Alyssa laid a hand on Orion's arm.

"Take her to my car." She said, looking and sounding just as concerned as Orion. "I have makeup wipes to clean her up with."

Orion nodded, and didn't hesitate to pick Jorgeous up in her arms. That wasn't an unusual thing. Her friend was so small and so easy to handle this way. And Jorgeous didn't mind it, but now she felt as if she didn't deserve it. She wasn't Orion's.

Orion set her down gently on the hood of Alyssa's car, watching her girlfriend grab the pack of makeup wipes from the backseat. She closed the door and walked over, pulling one out. "You poor thing..." She said softly, raising a wipe to Jorgeous' cheek.

But she flinched away from Alyssa's hand. She hadn't exactly meant to, it just happened. Alyssa pulled her hand away, and Jorgeous caught a glimpse of sadness and another emotion shoot across her face. But she couldn't tell what the second emotion was.

"You do it..." Alyssa said quietly, handing the makeup wipe to Orion and backing up a little. Orion nodded, gently wiping away the mascara streaks on Jorgeous' cheeks. Her gentle touch was just making it even harder for the smaller girl to keep it together. It was taking everything in her to hold back even more tears.
