In which Kerri is struggling to find a guy who actually loves her for her, and everyone suggests the obvious.
Featuring Pickles being a great cat wingman for Maddy
----"This guy just had no manners." Kerri ranted to Willow, still upset about how her most recent date had gone down. "Talking with his mouth full of food was one thing, but staring at my ass while I'm trying to have a serious conversation? The level of disrespect..." She sighed, resting her head in her arms.
That had been a horrible night. And the breaking point. After she had gotten home Kerri just cried in frustration. She hated this phase of trying to date. Usually there would be some good ones that stood out, but every single one had gone wrong so far. She was starting to lose hope.
She glanced up at Willow who looked lost in thought. "Sorry if I'm bothering you with this. I just had to let it out."
Willow snapped out of it, quickly shaking her head. "No no, you aren't bothering me. I just had a thought."
Kerri raised a brow, lifting her head up and running a hand through her hair. "What is it?"
Willow was quiet for a moment, still thinking it over. "I mean, why haven't you tried asking out Maddy?" She asked, saying it like it should've been obvious. "You both get along even if you're kinda opposites, you'd make a pretty attractive couple. There's no harm in giving it a try."
Kerri looked down at her hands. That thought had crossed her own mind before. She shrugged a bit, leaning back in the chair she was sitting in. "I don't know. We're so different and I don't think she'd ever been into me like that. Since...you know."
Willow gave her a nudge. "That has nothing to do with anything. You're a woman. Maddy has even said she finds you attractive. I think you should just ask and see what happens."
Kerri blushed softly. If Maddy had said that, then she hadn't said it in front of her. "I'll think about it." She told Willow, not sure if she really would.
Her next date was no different from the others. Besides the guy getting too drunk and almost puking all over her. She ended up leaving halfway through, frustrated and starting to wonder if she should just give up. She held back her tears as she scrolled through her contacts once she was home, desperately needing to get it all off her chest. She almost called Maddy before deciding against it, calling Angie instead.
"Another bad night?" Angie asked when she picked up.
Kerri shakily sighed and started telling her about her failed date. She felt bad for putting the other queens through the sad details of her dating life, but they all knew that if she just kept it inside it would affect her worse.
Angie let her get it all out, feeling like she knew a suggestion that could help. "Kerri, sweetie, I think we've already met the perfect guy for you. Why don't you give it a try with Maddy?"
Kerri had a feeling that's what she was about to say. She groaned a little, burying her head in one of her pillows. "I don't know I just...I don't know if we'd really work out and if we didn't it would ruin our friendship and it would be really awkward and-"
"Take a deep breath, dear." Angie interrupted, not wanting her to get overwhelmed. "Just give it some thought. There's no rush."
"Y-Yeah..." Kerri stuttered out, and after talking a bit more and hanging up, she groaned and looked up at the ceiling.
"Yeah, no rush until Maddy finds a girlfriend who isn't me." She mumbled to herself, and she couldn't help but feel jealous as she thought about that.
