"Shit, shit, shit," Ava cried as  she watched the scene play out before her. She knew her best bet would be to interrupt the men. She quickly walked over as Bucky and Sam were starting to move in front of Walker.

"Ava," John smirked, "I told you I would come back. Just wanted to double check on that job offer." He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and thankfully, not carrying his shield.

"Walker, I see you don't have your shield. Don't tell me it didn't survive my little toss the other night." Ava could see the vein in Walker's forehead start to bulge. She knew she shouldn't push his buttons, but she was so frustrated and angry at the situation she couldn't help it. In her peripheral she could see the two other men smirk.

"Hi, gentlemen, I'm Ava St.John. Is there something I can do for you. Mr. Walker was just leaving; do you wish to join him or stay and finish your drinks?"

"I am not leaving!" Walker shouted, drawing the attention of many of the  patrons and Tom who was still behind the bar.

"No, Walker, you are leaving. You are not welcome in this establishment. I have the right to choose who I serve. You need to head back out the door." Ava reached for Walker's arm. There was a slight sickly green glow that emitted. Walker started to look pale, put his hand over his mouth, and headed to the door, leaving.

"What the fuck just happened?" the blue eyed man asked as he stared at Ava in shock.

"Wait a minute, we need to talk to you, Ava. Do you have a break coming up or something?" Captain America asked, looking at the entrance to see if Walker had truly left.

"Yeah, I can take a break now. Come to the back of the bar and I'll meet you there."

Ava walked behind the bar and asked Tom to cover for her for a few minutes. She headed out the employee entrance. Both men were already waiting for her there.

"So, how about we start with introductions. I know you are Captain America, but don't know your actual name. And I have no idea who you are," Ava stated matter of factly.

"Sorry, I am Sam Wilson, this is James Barnes. Fury sent us here to speak to you. He wasn't happy with the surveillance video he saw of you and Walker." he said as he reached out his hand for a handshake. Ava accepted his hand shake and extended her hand to the other man. He gently shook it, staring into her eyes the entire time.

"Seems Walker is very interested in giving you a job, Ms. St.John," James added. "Would there be a specific reason he was trying to recruit you?"

Ava shook her head. "If Fury filled you in on me, you wouldn't be asking these questions. I have to assume you don't know who I am; which means I either have to fill you in or keep you in the dark." She received dark looks from both men with this statement.

"Look," she continued, "I have no idea how Walker found out about me. I have no idea how he had my file from Hydra-"

"Hydra," James Barnes growled. "No one said anything about Hydra. How do you even know about Hydra?" He began to move toward Ava in a menacing fashion.

Sam put his arm out and stopped him. "Bucky! Back up!" he commanded. "This isn't the time or place for you to lose your shit."He turned back to Ava, "We need to have a serious talk. Is there any way we can meet you somewhere else and talk?"

"We can meet at my house tomorrow. Come by about 10 a.m. I should be up by then." She wrote down her address on her order pad and handed it over to Sam. "I'll see you both tomorrow," she sighed as she reentered the bar.
