Five came quickly. After not having any idea what to wear, Ava finally called Tom to get his opinion. He was ecstatic about her having a date and went on and on and on, until she finally told him to focus. He told her to wear her black jeans, boots, and the deep red top they had gotten her for Christmas last year. She wore her hair down, knowing she would have to put on a helmet for the motorcycle ride.

Bucky showed up in a blue long sleeved Henley and faded blue jeans. The shirt matched his eyes perfectly and made them even more beautiful. He also had a bouquet of wild flowers in his hand.

"Hey, Ava!" he said as she opened the door for him. "I hope you like flowers; I wasn't sure if I should bring them or not."

She smiled at his uncertainty. "I love flowers, thank you so much." She took the flowers, put them in a vase, and set them in the middle of her dining room table. "You ready to go?"

"In a minute," he said as he pulled her closer and began to kiss her. It was quick but passionate. "Now," he grinned,"we can go. You look beautiful tonight." She smiled her gratitude as he took her hand and led her outside to his bike.

They watched a movie first, a comedy that had them both laughing as they shared popcorn. Then Bucky took her to a little diner to get a bite to eat. After dinner, Ava suggested they stop by a place she liked to visit. It was a little stream at the start of a hiking trail Ava liked to come to. The water made a gentle sound as it ran over the rocks.

The moon was bright enough to see all the different landmarks that surrounded the stream. There were boulders and tall trees that were teeming with wildlife. They both found a seat on a decent sized boulder and sat to listen to the sound of the water and the noises all the animals and insects were making.

"This place is relaxing," Bucky said quietly.

"Yeah, I come here and hike pretty often. It isn't a long trail, but I enjoy being outside and listening to all the sounds of nature."

He turned to look at Ava. "I've had a good time tonight. I am glad you decided to go with me."

"I had fun, too, Bucky. I haven't been this comfortable around someone new in a long time. I feel safe when I am with you. I haven't felt safe like this in years," she confessed while looking in his eyes.

Bucky felt his heart leap. No one had ever said anything like that to him before. He struggled with what to say back to her and decided actions were better than words. He gently pulled her toward him and kissed her on her cheek, then her nose, then her lips. He started out gentle, but soon became more passionate as she responded to him.

Neither one of them were sure how long they stayed on the boulder kissing. Ava's phone rang and broke them apart. She looked at the display and saw it was Tom. She knew he was calling to get the details of her date. She hit ignore and turned back to her date.

"I guess we should be heading home," she said reluctantly. She hated for the date to end, but she was hopeful that they would go out again soon.

"Yeah, it is getting late. I don't want to keep you up past your bed time," Bucky joked.

"I do need my beauty sleep," she quipped back, grinning.

"If you get any more beautiful, I don't know how I will control myself, Doll." He leaned in a kissed her again quickly before taking her hand and leading her to his bike.

When she was home, he walked her to the front door, gave her another toe curling kiss and left. Ava went inside and called Tom back.

"So, how did it go?" he asked without saying hello. "Also you are on speaker phone, Scott wants to know the details, too."

"Hi, Scott!" Ava giggled. "It was a great night, guys. He was a gentleman, brought me flowers, took me to a movie, then to dinner. We had a good time."

"Nope, I want more than that, Ava, I need details, girl. Did he hold the door open for you, what was he wearing, what did he smell like?" He took a breath, "what is his name, did you get a date of birth, what does he look like?"

"Tommy, geez, give the girl a break. Let her tell her story in her own time. Sorry, Ava, apparently I need to take him out on a date so he doesn't have to live vicariously thru you," Scott grumbled.

Ava couldn't help but laugh. "His name is Bucky Barnes, Tom, the guy you saw at the bar on Friday night. He smelled amazing, he wore a blue shirt that matched his eyes, and he held the door open for me. I did not get his birthday or social security number. I don't know his blood type, nor do I know if he is a cat or dog person," Ava finished with a snicker.

"Wait, the savage beast?" Tom squealed. "OMG, Ava! Does he kiss as good as he looks like he would?"

"Tommy," Scott yelled, "don't ask her that!"

"Scott, he is fine," Ava said. "Yes, Tommy, he is a good kisser."

"I am coming over! We need to discuss this in detail! I will be over in ten minutes." She could hear Tommy rushing around his house and grabbing his car keys.

"Tommy!" she and Scott both yelled.

"We can talk tomorrow while we prep for work," Ava reminded him. "Right now, I am going to take a bath, relax, and go to bed."

"Fine," he pouted, "I love you and will see you tomorrow."

"Love you both. Bye"
