Ava and Bucky spent several days together at a hotel. The police found the shooting to be justified, so Bucky was able to go back to work.
Once Ava's house was released by the police, she decided she wanted to sell it and live somewhere else, the idea that Kyle had died there was too difficult to overcome. When she talked to Bucky about it, he suggested they look for something together.
"I don't want to be away from you anymore, doll! I love you and I want to share everything with you," Bucky told her when she looked surprised at his suggestion.
She couldn't help but tease him, "Are you sure you can love me and live with me? I have been known to hog the bed, and I often use all the hot water when I take a bath."
"It doesn't matter what you do, Ava. I will love you anyway!"
