After lounging in bed for a few hours, Bucky and Ava were starving. They had spent the time talking about their pasts and other mundane things like movies and music. Ava thought it was nice to be able to talk and share their thoughts and opinions.
Once in the kitchen, they began to prepare breakfast together. They made a simple meal of bacon and eggs and continued to talk comfortably with each other. After they finished their meal, they discussed watching a movie or possibly taking a hike on the trail she had shown him on their date.
Unfortunately they were interrupted by a phone call from the police station. The detective in charge of Ava's case, Detective Maria Salazar, had called to tell her that Kyle had been arrested, but would be able to make bail. He wouldn't be arraigned for another 24 to 48 hours, but Detective Salazar assured her that they would keep and eye on him and drive by her house throughout the day and night once he was released.
Bucky was angry that Kyle would be able to walk around free after what he had done. It took an enormous amount of will power to keep him from finding the bastard and beating him to within an inch of his life.
"Bucky," Ava tried to calm him down, "it's OK. Everything will be fine, I promise." She walked over to him and laid a hand on his shoulder.
"You shouldn't be trying to make me feel better, Ava. I'm the one who should be taking care of you." Bucky said as he gave her a hug.
Ava smiled up at him. "Let's continue with our day and not let this spoil it," she suggested.
They decided to hold off on the hike and instead to spend the day lounging on the couch and relaxing. They spent the day watching funny movies and talking about what they missed from their younger years.
Eventually talking became kissing and kissing became touching. Soon Bucky was carrying Ava back to the bedroom.
