Ω Hiccup's POV Ω

I skidded backwards as Merida unleashed her sword and swung it at me, though I reflected it off my shield. "Merida!" I yell for the thousandth time but I never got through to her.

I wasn't going to harm her. No maiming, like in capture the flag. But as I fought with her, it was very one sided.

To my side, I see Jack joining in on the battle, he seemed to be keeping up well but both sides were equally matched.

Merida screamed at Jason, whom was fighting the bear, and tried to get past me but I fought with all my energy to keep her.

Finally, I managed to get close enough and pin her to the ground. She tried to flip me off at first but she wasn't the same Merida. Her mind was off it different places, and she couldn't think straight. How did I know? Because her eyes told everything...

They were wild and glazed over and I knew immediately a spell was casted upon her.

"Merida..." I whisper, staring down at her, trying to catch her gaze. "Merida look at me."

"Get off..." She said sharply, "Get off or I really will kill you."

"That's not your mom." I responded calmly.

"She is. She's trapped. She doesn't know it."

"You got your mom out of her bear state."

"Someone put her back. GET OFF." She screamed, tears now rolling down her cheeks. "GET OFF GET OFF GET OFF."

I was so caught up in her screaming that I didn't notice her hand reaching for her sword. With one swift movement, she swung it and made contact with my leg, a little bit above my ankle.

I let out a sharp yelp and fell to the floor in pain. The cut was deep, really deep.

"JASON!!" I yell, my voice cracking as I watched Merida get up and head towards he direction. I tried to get up to stop her but I couldn't, it was impossible. "JASON WATCH OUT!!!"

Merida latched an arrow and shot it before he could even notice.

He would've been shot in the heart of it wasn't for Jack who formed a wall of ice in front of him. But I didn't see anything else as I passed out from the pain.

Ω Jack's POV Ω

"Thanks..." Jason breathed, looking at me with a truly genuine look before going back to fighting the bear.

"Percy. deal with Merida, I got the old hag." I said, glancing over at him.

"You sure?" He asked worriedly.

"Yeah. I need to talk with her anyway."

Percy nodded and ran to Merida, though I didn't pay attention to him for long as I looked at my opponent.

"Your friend, Hiccup is down." She smiled, "And losing a lot of blood."

"Shut up. He's surviving." I growl, twirling the staff between my fingers.

"I don't know. that prophecy proves other." She sang.

This woman was great at persuading, given her charmspeak. I actually struggled to keep my mind into one place.

Without letting her say anything more, I swung my staff, unleashing a wave of cold, icy air. She fell back but managed to stay on her feet.

"Jack!" Jason yelled from behind me, kicking a dagger in my direction. "Don't waste your energy with your magic! Use this if you need to!"
