Ω Jack's POV Ω

Another day of doing nothing... what could be more different? I'm always left behind, why do I bother to hang out with the other classmates anyway? They invite me, but they just ignore me afterwards.

Maybe it's the white hair. I was born with it. And everyone, even the teachers think it's odd. I guess that's what drives people away from me. I'm am elderly man in a teen boy body.

My name is Jack. I don't know my last name because my parents supposedly died before they could say. I have no family friends or relatives who know. So when I was little I decided to make something up. I was obsessed with Peter Pan when I was younger, and I was going to make neverland my new last name. But I figured that was illegal to steal an original name from the Disney company... I later realized it wasn't.

So I decided to change the 'n' and the 'e' into an 'o' because for some odd reason, the letter O was my favorite letter of the alphabet back then.

So my makeshift name is Jack Overland. I go to a boarding school in New York. My parents, like I said earlier, died. The police told me, when I was old enough, that they froze to death. That isn't something you would tell a little kid.

After hearing that news, you'd suspect me to be sad and scared of snow. Well actually, I don't feel that way at all. Winter is my favorite season and I always feel more energized in a blizzard. And for some odd reason, I'm immune to the blistering cold, I guess because I spent so much time in that kind of weather.

Anyway, back to the present. Here I am, sitting in the park, ditched by my class mates. This was usually the outcome, I was used to it.

I live in a small area, not many people come out of their houses. So I'm always the only one in the park. I mean, once or twice you'll see this older lady walking with one of her millions of dogs. And I swear, everyday she seems to have a different breed walking along with her.

All of a sudden there was a loud thump, along with a quick sharp pain in my leg. it took me a couple seconds to realize a boy had just tripped over me.

The boy groaned. Metal pieces and wires had fallen out of his pockets. He turned his head slowly to look at me.

"I'm so sorry about that." I quickly stood up and extended my hand towards him. He hesitantly took it and stood up, collecting his materials.

"It's fine, really. I'm known to be rather clumsy." he shrugs and rubs his arms. "my name is hiccup... hiccup haddock the third." The boy gave me a geeky smile.

"I'm jack overland..." I grin back at him, finally, I can talk to someone.

"I know."

"What?"

"Nothing."

I pushed that awkward moment away. hiccup looked geeky but not in a bad way, more like an intelligent cool way. his hair went all over the place (these days it's good looking). he was a bit taller than me too, which I had no problem with, it was awesome that I am actually talking to someone in a real conversation.

"Anyway, hiccup. I'm really curious about how you know my name." I raise my eyebrow and cocked my head to the side questionably.

He scratched the back of his neck and laughed nervously. "I have a knack with remembering names." he admitted, though when you look into his eyes, you could tell he was hiding something.

I opened my mouth to say something but I was interrupted by a loud crash from behind me. "oh no... not now..." He groaned.

Hiccup twisted a ring around his finger. "umm... what was that?" I turned around but nothing was there. "hey hiccup I uh- WHAT THE-?!"
