Ω Jack's POV Ω
"My dad is the first?" Rapunzel says, almost choking on her waffles.
The four of us sat together at a diner not too far from the train station we decided to take (thanks to Tooth who gave us tickets... somehow). Hiccup and I described our short conversation with Nico Di Angelo from last night. Well... it was mostly Hiccup who talked.
I kept thinking about our new destinations, and the prophecy. All of this was too much to handle. Losing sanity, Lost friends... Death, death, death, and more death. And the second location was not helping at all.
"My first orphanage..." I say, not realizing that I said it aloud until everyone turned towards me.
"Your what?" Merida said with a mouth full of chocolate chip pancakes. "Is that part of your list?"
Hiccup, who sat next to me, snuck the list out of my clenched hand. I was too delayed to stop him from reading. Suddenly, he took in a sharp breath and shoved the note away. "Y-yeah... the second area."
He looked questionably shooken up, with his now pale skin and his shaggy brown hair covering his eyes. This list wasn't a good thing for either of us.
Rapunzel finished her meal and looked at me dead on. I somehow got the question she was trying to tell me, What happened at the orphanage? And I was grateful she didn't say it aloud, it would've been overwhelming.
"It was closed down long ago due to some murder or suicide cases. I was only living there for three years but they were the worst years of my life." I say, stirring my orange juice with my straw. "Now I think it has something to do with greek and/or roman monsters or something."
Merida frowned, "I'd like to say no but thats very logical."
Just by looking at Merida I could tell that she didn't want to look at the list, so far it wasn't the group's "strong suit."
But Rapunzel wasn't the one to read. Her face was completely blank as she took out a some mortal money to pay for our meal. She was about to see her father, someone who she probably hasn't seen 24/7 in her life. And according to Nico and Hiccup, he was a poem-obsessed god. Deep down I really wanted to meet this dude. He would've be my first God (let's not count Mr. D right now...) that I'll meet.
That is, unless, another bit of my memory has been adjusted with the mist.
I looked down at the glass of water that sat beside my orange juice. I refused to drink it, thinking it would turn into ice like the ocean back at Camp Halfblood. The orange juice only formed frost on the glass. I learned that the more that I'm put under stress, the more my powers go out of hand. North taught me this without even saying a word, it was all in the test.
So I picked the glass up and put it to my lips, but right when the water made contact, it immediately solidified into ice, resulting in me growling curses under my breath and slamming the block of H2O on the table. Some people around us stared at me and the odd glass filled with one ice cube with confusion. They probably thought that the ice machine malfunctioned or something along those lines.
"Jack, I need to talk to you... Alone... When we get on the train." Merida said in a soft tone. I never really was left alone with her so, yeah, of course I was a bit nervous. But the way Hiccup acts so loyal to her, and the way she saved my face from being ripped apart from an empousa when I first met the two, I couldn't help but trust her as well.
"I as well..." Rapunzel spoke up and watched as Hiccup was using one of his self made lighters to melt my ice. "After Merida... And of course... Alone."
"I should feel loved but for some reason I don't." I said with what was supposed to be humor but it was depressingly true.
"Well what am I supposed to do?" Hiccup frowned, melting only half of my water, which I tried to drink again but it turned into another big ice cube. He let out a little disappointed mew. Out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw Merida blush but I doubted it.
"Spend the first part with Punzie, then the next part with Merida. And hopefully if whatever they are going to talk to me about doesn't take to long, we'll be one big happy family again." I say, growing a little sarcastic at the end.
Rapunzel flashed a smile at me before looking at the clock above the diner bar. "We better start going, the train will be here any second."
Merida nodded and stood up. "We better get a move on then."
We all then stood up, leaving my ice for the waitress to take care of.
"So this train is fancy?" Hiccup asked as we left the diner.
"Like... Harry Potter's train kind of fancy." I grinned and he laughed at my connection.

Ω ??? POV Ω (third person)"HAH!" A mysterious voice bellowed from a rather dark atmosphere. "This is TOO~ easy!"
It was hard to make out who the voice belonged to. But you could see that a single person sat on a throne of stone. To his sides were the oddest bunch of people.
A lady with frizzy black hair, a... Bear, a girl with white hair that was braided down her shoulder, and one boy who looked completely out of place with his hands cuffed together to a pole. He felt the need to dash but the weird bear just stared at him and he did not feel like being torn to pieces today.
The cuffed boy was actually quite handsome. His hair was perfectly groomed, his eyes were dazzling, and he seemed to be wearing the best clothes even if they were shredded.
"We know exactly where Frost is going now, this is playing out for the better finally. He's an easy kill!" Chuckled the mysterious man on the throne. "The son of Khione will be our greatest triumph."
The girl with the braided hair tensed slightly but didn't say anything.
"You won't get to Jack!" Yelled the boy, "or... Or Rapunzel!" He snarled and tugged on his chains.
"Or Merida and hiccup, yes, my boy. But they are the ticket!"
"The ticket?"
"Taking away their happiness is the way to get Jack to soften up. And you're perfect for your little friend... Rapunzel..." The women with the frizzy hair cooed, tapping her fingers on her smaller stone throne.
The boy's pupils shrank to the size of a grain of rice. "I-I won't help you destroy the one I love..."
"Oh, why my dear child..." she grinned, "you stopped me last time... I'm afraid you have no choice but to do as I say now..." Her eyes turned dark as she gripped the boys face.
He shivered and looked away, fear on his face, but a boiling rage inside.
"You may not help us, but there's always a way...." the creepy woman whispered to his ear, saying the next word with a hiss. as if it were acid. "Eugene..."
