Ω jack's POV Ω

"So gods are real, huh?" I say as rapunzel walked me to the beach.

"Yeah... I know it's a lot to take in but you'll get used to it, I'm sure." She responded and stepped up to the shore.

I hesitantly stepped next to her as she kicked off her shoes and stuck her bare feet into the water.

"Hiccup told me Apollo wasn't the brightest god." I said softly. it seemed to be super silent here, so if I spoke too loud I probably would've seemed disruptive.

"And? what's your point?" She snapped.

"You're not at all unintelligent. you're actually pretty smart and logical from the short time I've talked to you."

Rapunzel looked at me for awhile then sighed. "then maybe I came a long way."

She looked down at my feet then to her feet in the water. I immediately got the signal and pulled my shoes off.

But something was wrong. when I stepped into the water, it wasn't wet. it was hard and cold. below me was ice, like I had just made it without even knowing.

Rapunzel looked at the ice with a very peculiar look. she grabbed me from the hood of my sweatshirt and pulled me back, the ice melted away like it never froze in the first place.

"Who are you?" rapunzel demanded, her eyes questioning. everyone on the beach turned and looked at us to see what the commotion was.

"Jackson overland." I say. "An orphan from New York."

"No. who are you really. what's your real name?" she took a step forward, and I took a step back into the shore. the water began to freeze again under my feet.

"I- I don't know my real name..."

Jack Frost

My eyes widen.

Your name, my son.

"Say it. I know why you're getting those answers. I had my expectations but now I'm certain. I'm going to ask again: what is your name?" She growled.

"Jack Frost." I say, as if I knew the name all along. it came out naturally.

It was silent for a long, uncomfortable moment. I could see Merida and hiccup off to the side staring at me with disbelief.

Then suddenly, rapunzel's face turned blue... well not actually her face physically. it was a neon blue light reflecting on her.

I looked up to see a light blue snowflake floating above my head. everyone gasped and whispered amongst themselves.

"The son of khione. goddess of snow." I heard Merida say. she and hiccup carefully stepped up to me, as if I was going to blow their heads off. "this is not good."

"What? what's not good? what's happening?" I asked urgently.

"Your tour will have to be postponed. you have an appointment with the oracle." rapunzel said, with a scary stern look.

Ω Hiccup's POV Ω

Jack Frost.

The prophecy said something that had to do with khione and her only demigod offspring... at least that's what we decoded it as.

But why did jack have to be the one? he was so confused and helpless. and now I don't even know if he'll be able to train before his whole life gets changed around.

Khione. Leo told me stories about her. she was cruel and she almost froze him and his friends. but to think someone as nice as jack would be related to some witch like her... it's unthinkable.

And now he has to go to the oracle. even when he just got here.

The prophecy of the four demigods has finally come into the present. there was no turning back.

Sorry this chapter is short. honestly, I should've spread out every part to make it a bit longer but it all came at once.... oh whale.
