Hi Sweet Beatlemaniacs! Happy Saturday! Here's an update on George and Annie---and beware! More drama ahead! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for taking time to stop by and catch up. Enjoy! love, Lara xx
While George went with the nurse and Ava to help with his daughter's first bath and to fill out forms, Annie relaxed in her room and watched several pieces of equipment get wheeled out. Margaret helped her clean up, change her bed linens and maneuver her bed back to being a bed.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see those stirrups leave the room," Annie said sleepily.
Margaret laughed. "I hear that a lot. You know, your daughter is adorable. Her little round head and chubby cheeks. She's going to be a knock-out. Looks like she'll have dark hair and eyes like you and your husband."
"That's good news. George might question a blonde haired, blue eyed baby," Annie chuckled as her eyes closed. She'd never been so tired in her entire life. At least the shaking was subsiding, especially after Margaret covered her with another warm blanket. "That feels wonderful," Annie murmured. "Thank you."
"You're welcome Mrs. Harrison. Get some rest now. Ava and Mr. Harrison won't be back for an hour or so. Do you want the baby to room in with you or stay in the nursery?"
"Room in with me," Annie answered.
"That's fine. We'll bring her back to you. And I understand you don't need any formula? You'll be breast feeding?"
"That's my plan," Annie replied, followed by a yawn. "It might fail, but I'm going to give it a shot."
"Just use the call button if you need anything. I'll let you rest now," Margaret said softly and left the room.
Annie immediately fell asleep.
..................... ................................
He walked into her hospital room and the moment Annie saw his cold, gray eyes, she began pounding on the call button. He eyed Ava, sleeping soundly in her bassinet, and Annie's blood froze in her veins. Jumping out of bed, she began hemorrhaging and as the floor turned into red sand that began to pull her down, she started screaming for George. Her arms swung out as Steven began to walk towards Ava and the screams caught in her throat. There was no sound, only a fruitless effort to get to her daughter.
"Annie!" She heard George call from far off in the distance and she turned her head toward his voice. "Baby, it's me."
She heard a burst of sound from her throat as she screamed, "George!"
"I'm right here. Wake up, baby. You're dreaming...."
Annie's unfocused eyes fluttered open as she gripped George's shirt in her clenched fists. "Ava!" she shouted at him. "George, get Ava!"
"Annie, she's sleeping right here in her crib. You're dreaming. Look at me," he said forcefully, framing her face in his hands and placing his face in front of her. "Look at me. Everything is fine. You're having a nightmare...."
Annie's arm swung out and George ducked just in time. "Annie-girl, look at me...."
Finally her eyes began to focus and right there in front of her was George, his face flushed with concern. "George...where's Ava?"
"Right next to us. She's fine. You were dreaming."
"Oh, God, George," Annie began to tear up. "It was Steven...he was coming to take our baby..."
"Annie," George said gently, his hands still cradling her face. "Steven is dead. He's not going to hurt anyone ever again."
"I was bleeding," Annie suddenly jerked out of George's grasp and pushed the covers off to check for any blood.
