A/N -- Salutations dearest Beatle people! Here's a mid-week update....more on George and Annie (George does it again) and Jeremy and Eve (Eve does it again). I was actually going to end this fairly soon, but I just can't seem to let them go yet. So I'll keep typing until I run out of ideas! Thank you as always for your wonderful kindness and support! Enjoy! Love, Lara xo

When she woke the next morning, Annie was spooned up against George, her arm across his waist. He had taken her hand and wrapped his fingers around her. She shivered and her thinking was very hazy and unclear, more than from just waking up. Steven had joined in her dreams again, this time reprising what Annie and Eve called, "The Tiny Bathroom Incident", where he trapped her and began yelling in her face while pounding the wall over her head. She woke up when, as in reality, she slumped to the floor pretending to faint.

Annie wanted to wake George and tell him, to let him hold her as she shivered under the warm blankets. Jeremy said nightmares can be due to the lingering effects of trauma and might be something she will have to deal with for a while. He told her to remember that even if they resemble her previous reality, they are not real any longer and can't hurt her.

"We really can't control our dreams," he said. "But we can learn with practice to acknowledge and dismiss them."

In order to distract herself, she thought about Eve and Jeremy and hoped they were safely snuggled together in bed. No two people in the world needed each other as much as they did. He, introverted, analytical and hiding behind his deceased wife and "doctor" title and Eve, extroverted, bold and hiding behind a smart mouth and "don't touch me" attitude. They had some work to do before them, to let the past go and learn how to trust another person. Jeremy might have an easier time of it considering his background, but Eve had a long road to being secure with him.

Annie's shivering partially woke George, who asked her if anything was wrong in a sleepy mumble.

"All good," she whispered. "Sorry if I woke you."

"Cold?" he asked, his eyes still closed as he rolled over onto his back.

"Hm. A bit. Mostly just shaking off a nightmare."

"You okay?"

Annie nodded. "Can you hold me?"

"Of course." He opened his arm and she cuddled up against him, George placing his hand on her shoulder and rubbing it gently with his thumb. "Go back to sleep now."

She nodded again and tried to sleep, but just couldn't.

Jeremy opened his eyes and started for a minute, not remembering where he was. Next to him, Eve slept soundly, her creamy ivory shoulder peeking outside the blanket. He pulled the comforter up and over her gently so he wouldn't wake her and watched her sleep. Thinking one way then the next, he started an internal dialogue concerning should he get up and get dressed or stay in bed with Eve? Little Ava was still asleep, he figured it was only maybe 6 in the morning or so. Maybe earlier. His watch was on the dresser on the other side of the room. He should have kept it closer to him.
