A/N -- Yes. I know, sweet Beatle people. I stared at the .gif too. It' impossible not to. Sets your mind off to all different places, am I right? Anyway, update for a 65 degree Saturday here in southern California. I've had requests for more Jeremy and Eve, so here you go! Enjoy! love, Lara

Several of George's friends spent the rest of the week, but their time was divided between the kitchen table, the studio and a bed. Annie and Eve needed to practically buy out the entire market when they went shopping, decimating the vegetable and fruit sections and giving the pantry items a thorough going over. Annie needed to accommodate vegetarians as well as meat-eaters, so she also bought a pot roast, and a small turkey, planning on cooking the pot roast for dinner for the meat-eaters and a vegetable, beans and rice casserole for the vegetarians. With salads and a fruit bowl and fresh bread, no one left Annie's table hungry. It was her personal code.

As the pot roast simmered on the stove with the potatoes and carrots, the aroma swept though the house, drawing appreciative visits from everyone.

"Is that vegetarian?" George asked as he peered over the pot.

"Nope. Sorry, love. It's a beef roast."

"That smell would convert a Buddhist monk," he smiled, kissing her cheek. George nuzzled Annie's neck and slipped his arms around her waist from behind. "Are we all set to leave?" he whispered. "Anniversary celebration, I can't wait. I just wish I could take you to Tahiti or New Zealand or the Bahamas...even back to our house on Maui..."

"London is just fine with me," Annie tipped her head lovingly against his. "We're lucky Eve is up to the challenge. I guess Jeremy is going to be here too and will help and support her. I feel really good about that. With all the food I'm cooking today, they should be in good shape meal wise. Eve is a good cook all on her own. She's going to cook turkey with dressing on Sunday."

"Sweet potatoes?" his eyes widened.

"Yes, music man," she kissed his scratchy 5 o'clock shadow.

"So, beautiful girl, Eve and Jeremy?" George questioned. "They've been together every night this week..."

"I know. Isn't it great? She makes him laugh—and trust me, that man needs some laughs...and he makes her feel more beautiful and desirable than Elizabeth Taylor."

"So what happens when her vacation is up in 2 weeks?"

Annie shook her head. "I don't know. I hope they can figure it out. Now...when are you planning on telling me what happened with Sam?"

"Oh, baby....can we just let that shit go? Without going into specifics, she came onto me a couple times and I have no intention of dealing with that bullshit. I want someone to focus on Ava, not my dick."

Annie turned to him with a combination angry and concerned face. "What are you saying? What the fuck, George?"

"Frankly, I'd rather forget the whole thing. Can we do that Annie? Do me a personal favor and let it go. She's gone now and we can use an agency to find another. Really do a thorough background check. Sisters of friends is not the way to go. Too much familiarity."

Annie cupped his face in her hands. "What did she do?"

"She fucking pissed me off," he grumbled. "Let's focus on our anniversary and each other and finding someone new when we get back."

She nodded in agreement for the time being, not wanting to wreck their anniversary plans. "Okay, my love."
