A/N - Hi happy Beatle people! Hope you are all doing well. Here's the update and I've incorporated our new couple, Jeremy and Eve because....well, why not? Of course, things are bumpy for them and Annie and George. Hmmm...two love stories at the same time! I wonder if I can do it without going to 1400 chapters! Your guess is as good as mine! Thank you, thank you for all your comments! I love them! Enjoy, love Lara xo
It was a long corridor, dark and smokey, with women pressed up against the wall and men leaning into them in various stages of sex. A few couples were smoking. Someone opened the secret back door and with a sweep of cold air, she spotted George's back, his hands on a woman's shoulders. Annie couldn't make out who the woman was, it was too dark. It looked to Annie as though the woman leaned in to kiss him and he didn't appear to deflect it in any way.
Filled with hurt and anger and a bit drunk, Annie pulled herself together, grabbed her coat and purse and left the club. She waved her arms to alert a cab and was whisked away into the dark English night, unsure of where she was headed.

George angrily moved away from the woman and turned to go back into the club. Suddenly, he couldn't remember the last time he saw Annie and headed back to their table unsure of what time it was or how long he'd been gone. Two complete strangers sat in their seats. He asked them if they knew where the woman went who was sitting there and they both shook their heads.
A feeling of dread came over him when he finally checked the watch Annie gave him and saw that it was 2am...nearly 4 hours after they had gotten there.
"Oh, bloody hell," he grumbled. He enlisted John's help and they searched and searched for her with no success.
"She probably went back to the hotel," John said unsteadily. "Just go there. I'll keep checking here."
"She's gonna be pissed off to high hell," George warned him. "Watch out. She's got a vicious left upper cut."
"You two are sick," John shook his head and disappeared into the crowd.
George checked his watch again. "Fuck." He used a phone to contact his driver who said he saw Annie get into a cab about an hour ago. The driver came around the corner to pick George up and take him back to the hotel.
..........................................................
Annie had the cab driver stop at an all night diner where she picked up something to eat and a large coffee to go. She needed to settle the alcohol rummaging around in her stomach and clear her head.
"Now where, Miss?" he asked evenly.
Annie let out an exhale as her eyes filled with tears. "Ah," she stuttered, then remembered a card in her purse and handed it to the driver. "Can you take me there?"
"Sure."
She wasn't sure anyone would be home, but it was the safest place she could think of to go. As the driver rounded the corner, she saw lights on in the house and the porch. Asking the driver to wait, she ran with her coat over her head against the rain and knocked softly on the door.
When the door swung open, her expression was complete teary-eyed desperation.
"What happened?" he asked urgently, taking her hand. "Get in here before you drown."
"No. I have to pay the cab driver."
"I'll take care of it," he assured her, grabbing a coat and running out to the street. Getting back into the house, he ran his hand through his wet hair and shook his coat out. "What the hell happened?"
