Trilochan RC's POV

Ironically, when both the mother and future mother-in-law deliberately passed almost similar offensive remarks against Bondita, the boy's father enjoyed the sadistic scene smirking secretly. Failing to bear the derogatory remarks against the girl who shall forever remain more than a daughter to me, I suspended my skepticism and longstanding hostility with Kalindi Das for a moment and gripped the club of my stick, stepping at the threshold of Das Baari. Turning my eyes inflexibly at the stunned residents of the hall, didn't come as a surprise to us for we knew already that our name was included in list of guests invited out of formality only. Therefore, our arrival and my words uttered in favor of Bondita now shocked them equally.

Kaalindi (with a calm smile) - What did you give to Anirudh in reality?

"Why are you asking this Kalindi?" I countered confidently to my long term rival "I had promised to Shubhra sister on her death bed, that I would raise my nephew more than my own son. After she passed, I took up her role and became his dedicated guardian, ensuring every moment that all their needs are available at the tip of his index finger.
