Sonja

I looked at the white teddy with the black shirt that Joel had won me, I really did enjoy the carnival date. We kissed on the Ferris wheel, but we hadn't seen each other in a day or so because I was finishing up my homework and tried to focus, although we did share a few texts here and there. My phone was ringing and it was Joel.

"Sonja, can you help me dye my hair? My roots are showing!" Joel whines over the phone. I laughed at how pouty he sounded.
"Yes, I am off on Saturday and my assignments are finished anyway so come by then" I said with a giggle. I liked hanging out with Joel, after everything he had said we were at a better place. Although after the kiss we did not talk about what the next step was going to be with us. Was this a one-time thing? Or was it something more? But I decided to put it out of my mind. He was ranting about the day he had at the studio.

"Sonja? Sonja? Hello? Are you there?" Joel asks me, I realised that I had zoned out listening to his ranting.
"Yes... Yes, I'm here! Sorry, I just spaced out for a second." I said. Would it be like Joe all over again? Okay, Sonja relax you're overthinking this too much, maybe everything will be fine.

"Do you want to hang out and watch movies at your place?" Joel asks me.
"I mean if that's what you want, I know that you and the boys love to go drinking on the weekends and I don't want to intervene in case you're planning something!" I said quickly, facepalming at how dismissive I was.

"You know there's more to life than just drinking away. My body could use a break, I can't recover from hangovers that well anymore." Joel said and I laughed at him.

"You know, you're more than welcome to hang out whenever you want Bird boy!" I said with a laugh, the fact he was six foot and had a fear of birds never ceased to amuse me. Did a bird shit on his head or did it sit on him? He was always traumatised, or did a seagull attack him because of him not giving it chips? God, I would love to see Joel being attacked by a flock of seagulls, and he would be just beelining it for a shelter or something. That thought just cracked me up.

"Wow back to the nicknames lioness! You're always so sassy and feisty Sonja. What did I do wrong to you?" Joel asks me in a mocking way while fake crying.
"Oh my poor Hokkaboy, always so sensitive and emotional." I said through the phone.

"You take that back!" He said sounding serious.

"Or whatcha going to do Sex Demon from a Finnish folklore?" I question. He laughed when I said that through the handset.

"I can take try it if you like?" Joel said suggestively, causing me to roll my eyes.

"Hold your horses Hokkaboy!" I said with a laugh.

"You're no fun girl!" Joel simply said.

After we were done, I was listening to more of my documentaries and finished writing my eleventh page. I ran my Google document through spellcheck, making sure everything looked good and everything was in order. I uploaded it to our Blackboard portal and waited for the plagiarism check, if it was good. Time to send it in.

Got less than ten percent of plagiarism, so it sufficient enough and I submitted the final version and closed my white Dell XPS laptop.

(Saturday)

I woke up a little early today since Joel was going to come over. I decided to make a chicken pie with vegetables, it came out pretty good and there was no soggy bottom. I was happy, Joel was bringing his hair dye. It was funny that I would be dying his hair. I wore an old ripped Pink Floyd shirt with my burgundy biker shorts, it was massive and stuff like that. I cleaned up a little and vacuumed the living room and got out my dying bowls and stuff that was needed along with some black gloves.
