Joel decided to escort me to my doctors appointment, it was a Friday so I had no classes or work today. I got dressed in:

I pulled my hair up in a bun and put on light make-up and chucked on my black high top Converse. Joel was already downstairs waiting in the car.

He wore his anxiety shirt, a leather jacket, black ripped jeans and his leather jacket with massive black sunglasses.

"Hey pretty girl!" Joel said while leaning against the car, I smiled at him while he opens his arms and hugs me.

"Hey blondie!" I said with a small smile, while his long arms engulfed me in a hug. I felt safe in his arms like nothing would harm or hurt me.

(At the Hospital)

Joel and I sat down on the blue plastic chairs waiting for me to be called.

"Miss Knight? Is your boyfriend coming in with you?" Asks the nurse. I was about to speak but Joel interrupted me.

"Yes I'll come in with her." Joel answers simply while he held my hand and came in with me. He would hear everything, well he was transparent with me about his struggles. Perhaps it was okay ike for him to support me.

Joel took a seat on the blue plastic chair in the room, I drew the curtain shut because I had to get into some shorts. I put on the disposable shorts, I finished and opened the curtains. Joel would flash a supportive smile.

"God I hate hospitals." Joel whispers and I nodded in agreement, but due to this condition it was important to check in with the neurologist.

"Alright Miss Knight, I'm doctor Popkins and I'll check your range of motion and flexibility." He said and I nodded.

They checked my hip flexors, hamstring and knee flexibility and even my reaction when they hit you on the knee to see if you could feel your nerves.

"I've been having a little bit of issues with my balance, and a bit of spasms." I said. Well it could be due to spasticity of the muscles or the stress I was feeling with work and school.

"We could try prescribing you some muscle relaxers in order to stop it or maybe we could try some Botox. But you're still right in Achilles' tendon." Dr Popkins explains.

"Yes I've been doing my stretching and everything but it's not really helping much." I said.

"I can prescribe you some night braces but with hinges, it might be uncomfortable to wear but it could help. It's noninvasive." Dr Popkins suggests.

"Sure." I say uncomfortably. I felt so uncomfortable letting Joel in, but he didn't seem to mind.

"I'll call you in the specialist and we can get you casted now." The doctor said. I nodded.
