(27) In this hell, you are my paradise

"Joel, you don't have to come to the gym with me." I said to the blonde haired one who was walking with me. While he was wearing some sports wear.

"I don't mind going with you, I especially want to see what you got." Joel said suggestively. I smacked his chest.

"Get your head out of the gutter Hokkaboy." I said with a laugh.

"What? I have the hottest girl who likes to stay active and is interesting to be around." Joel said, wrapping his arm around me.

"Nah you're hotter." I said with a smile, I stood on my toes  and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"You're perfect the way you are! You don't have to change, you know that. With make-up, without make-up. I want you to be happy." Joel said. I nodded with a smile.

Joel and I walked in, Kyle was standing there chatting with someone. I hoped it wasn't Joe.

"Iron Lady! Long time no see!" Kyle said while he high-fived me.
"Hey Kyle." I said with a smile.

"So is the famous Kyle Kolesch I've been hearing about?" Joel asks while he shakes his hand.

"Oh yes he is. Don't mess up like Joe did man. No one hurts my little sister." Kyle said with a protective tone.

"Don't worry man! I wouldn't dream of it." Joel said, while they did a hand shake and I got Joel's jacket and put it inside my locker.

Joel was texting someone and he shoved his phone back into his pocket, while we walked toward the gym floor. I was showing Joel how I would loop the resistance bands, he helped me with those.

He kept time and watched everything I did. When I was warming up, he wanted to try a few things as well.

"Damn this is quite intense. No wonder your core and legs are so toned." Joel said. He was pretty agile too. We were laughing at how spastic he looked with some movements.

Then I walked him over to the pull up bar. I gripped on it and showed him how I stretched and then did some core exercises. I did some aerial lunges, along with some more stretches.

"Damn that's so hot!" Joel said, I rolled my eyes at him. I was about to jump off and then Joel caught me before I slipped.

"Thank you Hokka." I said to him, while we glanced at each other with a smile. Until we heard the deep voice behind.

"Sonja?" I heard that one voice I didn't want to hear.

"Joe?" I asked while he glanced between Joel and I being so close to each other.

"What's happening here? Why is he holding onto you?" Joe asks me. Joel and I cleared our throats and stood in front of the muscular one.

"I don't need to explain myself to you, besides where's  Maria?" I asked him. Joel and Joe were looking at each other, Joe looked more intimidating now.

"Look I feel bad about the way things ended. I shouldn't have done that." Joe said, I rolled
my eyes.

"You're just sorry I caught you cheating." I said to him, while we glanced at him.

"He's just using you Sonja." Joe said to me. Who the hell was he to tell me that?

"Unlike you Cotela I wouldn't use her. I had a bad feeling about you and it proved me right." Joel said to Joe with a bitter tone. I never saw the blonde one look so angry.

I saw that they were about to fight and I decided to get in between them.

"Stop it! I don't want you two to fight over me, especially Joe you've never once apologised to your actions. Yes Joel was rude and disgusting but he apologised. You know I cared about you, you broke my trust and I can't ever be around you." I said to Joe.

Joel and Joe were trying to act all alpha, I grabbed Joel's hand.

"Do you want to leave babe?" Joel asks me, while making sure I was okay.

"Yes please baby." I whispered to him, while we both just walked away and left the muscular one behind.

A few days had passed since our encounter with Joe, I was writing my final paper before the Easter break. The final few weeks of the semester was coming, so I was focused on my paper. It was midnight when I got a text from Joel.

Joel: Hi gorgeous I can't sleep, can I come over? I want to cuddle! :/

Sonja: Yes sweetie...I'll be waiting <3

This paper was almost done anyway, besides what was bothering Joel? Did he want to go? Was it his insomnia? I got a text saying that he was here, so I buzzed him up.

I shut off my laptop and walked over to the door, Joel looked absolutely exhausted and his hair was done up in a messy bun.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" I asked him, while he kicked off his shoes and walked inside. He sat on the couch on the verge of falling asleep.

"I was just thinking about what an ass I was to you. Then ruminating on why you liked me so much?" Joel whines. I chuckled at how whiny and irritable he was.

"I don't know things just happen. Besides you apologised for being an ass. Now come to bed Hokka boy." I said. Joel pulled me into his lap and while I buried my face in the crook of his neck.

"Do you know this is my favourite part? Snuggling with you like this?" Joel said. While I bit my lip and nodded, he presses his lips against mine in a sweet kiss.

"I like this feeling with you, it's just us against the world." I said with a smile on my face. I got off Joel's lap, and pulled him toward my bedroom.

"Come Hokkaboy get some sleep." I said, while he began undressing and taking off his shirt and pants. I felt myself in awe of how beautiful he was. I had never seen a man as beautiful as Joel. His black and white tattoos.

Joel pulls his hair out of the bun and lays down on the bed next to me. I climbed into next to him, Joel looks over at me. His hand was gripping mine.

"Did I tell you how much I like you?" Joel mumbles. I laughed.

"Joel in this hell, you're my paradise." I whisper to him and Joel smiles.

"You're my paradise too. I care about you Sonja." Joel said, while he cups my cheek.

"I care about you too deeply."  I said, while the blonde haired smiled.

"Goodnight gorgeous." Joel mumbles.

"Goodnight handsome."  I whispered, while I cuddled up to him and slept. It felt nice to be held. I knew that Joel was my paradise and he was my escape. I adore him.
