Locked away from civilisation, The Cullens became nothing but shells of who they once used the be. To them, life without their mate was bleak and most definitely not worth living for. The world was no longer beautiful, instead it was dull and boring.

The only reason they hadn't flown themselves to the Volturi was because Alice had seen a vision of the kings coming to Forks. It cut off before they could see why, but they didn't care. Carlisle, Edward, Emmett and Jasper where going to put an end to their misery once and for all.

The girls had done everything they could think of to try and get them to change they're mind. Rosalie even went as far as to say that Micah would be disgusted and disappointed in them for such actions. Of course, that resulted in Edward ripping off her head and throwing it into the woods.

He ignored Alice and Esme screaming at him for doing that to their precious Rose, but he didn't care. Instead, he locked himself back into his room, continuously listening to his Mates favourite song on replay. Besides, Rose would be fine, it wasn't like he had burnt her.

After that incident, the girls had taken to avoiding them. Now that they understood how volatile they had become, they didn't want to do anything that would set them off.

Alice had chosen to watch over Micah's father, making sure he never went too far with his battle of will power. She did this because she knew, that even in death, Micah would never forgive himself if something was to happen to his father. Especially if it was because of him.

It had been another bleak morning, the sun was hidden away behind the grey and stormy clouds, cowering from the thunder that rippled through the sky. Jasper, the Cullen who endured the most pain, felt a soft pulse through his chest before he collapsed to the ground with a cry of pain.

The other occupants in the house ignored his cry's, assuming that he was crying out for Micah, which was something he did on the regular. Being connected to him on every level, left him with an excruciating amount of pain. More so compared to the others.

Jasper didn't understand what was going on. His chest was thrumming with energy and when he focused, he swore he could feel his Mate's panic and confusion wash over him. But that was impossible, because Micah Swan was dead.

Jasper's eyes turned five shades darker as the Major sought control. Jasper couldn't remember the last time this had happened, but he did know it was before he found Micah. Micah was just as much a mate to him as he was to Major, so Major would only come out if Jasper wasn't strong enough to protect him.

Major prowled around the Texan style room, growling at any and every noise. His canines where extended, wanting nothing more than to wrap themselves around somethings throat. Preferably the black Wolf he had seen at the treaty line. He wasn't stupid, he knew the Wolf's wanted to kill them, he had felt it in their emotions. They're emotions where so strong that he could feel them from his home.

But in amidst of their pain, the male Cullens had gone as far as to refuse to eat. Any drop of blood would sent them of a frenzy. Not that they really cared much anymore. But that also meant that the Wolf's hadn't had the change to enact their revenge. Yet.

Jasper was the lucky one, because from his bedroom window, he could see the treaty line. It was very small, even with his enhanced vision, but he could just about make it out. And while they looked like blurry blobs walking up and down, he could still see and hear them.

Major continued to stalk around his room for three days, trying to help Jasper figure out why they could feel their dead Mates emotions. But no thought stuck. The only thing that made sense was that he had to be alive.

Suddenly the girls started screaming while a furious growl echoed throughout the house. "Liar!!" He heard Edward yell at the top of his lungs.

Curiosity getting the better of him, Jasper left his room for the first time in weeks only to see Carlisle and Emmett doing the same. To say they looked terrible would be an understatement. Their eyes where black and had grey bags underneath them.

They where even paler than what could be possible, and each had cracks creeping up on their necks. Major hadn't seen his reflection in a long while so he could only assume he looked the same.

Walking down the stairs, the three of them saw Alice pinned to the wall with Edward's hand wrapped around her throat. "Edward?" Major asked, letting Jasper take back control before they could even realise he had made an appearance.

Edward ignored him, choosing to growl louder, "Do you think this is some kind of sick joke!" He strained out through clenched teeth, "That the loss of our Mate is something for you to play around with!"

"No!" Alice croaked out, her eyes filling with venom tears. She held a hand out towards her screaming Mates, silently begging them to not get involved. She had known this was going to happen the moment the Vision had ended.

Slowly lifting up her hand, she wrapped it around Edward's wrist and pried it from her throat. Tears that could never fall filled his eyes as his knees buckled, sending him to the floor.

"Why?" He sobbed, his head lowered towards the ground, "Why would to do this? You know I have no control over my ability to why would you show me that? Don't you understand that my Mate is dead? He's not ever coming back and you go around showing visions of him alive and smiling at his dad? Why are you being so cruel?"

"Alice?" Carlisle called, his voice ruff from a long time of not being used, "Why would you do something like this? You know how much this topic hurts. If it's to try and stop us, we've told you, it's not going to happen. We are going through with it."

Emmett and Jasper looked towards the ground as Carlisle spoke. Not once did he raise his voice at the vampire, instead it was soft and tired, like he had given up. And he had, they all had.

Alice shook her head, "It wasn't a vision of Micah," she denied, "Well it was, but I wasn't doing it intentionally. I was watching Charlie's future when I saw a vision of him walking into a room where Micah was alive."

"Liar!" Edward screamed again, his eyes ablaze and ready to tear her apart much like he had done to Rosalie. Only, Jasper was the one to stop up, much to everyone's surprise.

"I-I-I think she's telling the truth," he said quietly, his own eyes filling with tears, "Two days ago I felt a rush of panic and confusion brushing over me and it wasn't my own. I felt it thrumming through the Mate bond. I-I think he's alive. Our Mate is Alive."
