It hadn't taken long before things where thrown across the room in anger, pain and confusion. They didn't understand how Micah could possibly be alive when they had felt him die. Surely that meant they would also feel him coming back to life?
As much as they all tried to deny it, a small bubble of hope blossomed within their dead heart. But also guilt because they now knew, if Micah truly was alive, then all of this could have been prevented had they only stayed in the first place.
Filled with a intangible amount of anger, Carlisle had flashed into his office. No matter how much he wanted to rip his sons head off, as well as his own for listening to him, he couldn't because if Micah is alive, then he'd feel what they felt. And he never wanted him to feel like that again.
While in his office, he had contemplated on calling the hospital to see if it was true, but then he realised that even if it was, they could never tell him because he had no right to know. And that caused him to begin destroying his beautiful office.
Emmett had clenched his hands in anger before disappearing into his room. Anything he got his hands on, soon became nothing but rubble at his feet. That was until he reached a small box which held all the photos he had taken with his Mate.
They ranged between Micah Smiling, blushing or pulling silly faces at the camera. Either way, they where enough to put a small smile of the giants face as he sat on the floor, slowly going through them. In that moment, Emmett soaked up as much hope as he could get his hands on.
Jasper, much like his brother, had slunk his way back into his room, locking the door with a small click. Sitting down on his bed, he rested his head into his hands, focusing on the bond he held with Micah.
Now that he finally understood what was happening, he couldn't have been any happier. Well, he could, but that would only be once he was back in his arms, but for now he would settle for feeling his heartbeat and emotions through that ribbon tied between them.
But then a thought hit. There was one person who had stayed with him long after they had left, so there was no way he couldn't know. Pulling out his phone, which was something he hadn't used in a long while, he called up Eric and spent the next twenty minutes shouting at the man for hiding such sensitive information from them.
Hiding away in the garden, Esme began to make it look as perfect as she could possibly get it. She pulled weeds out of the ground and planted beautiful flowers in their wake and even mowed the lawn. Esme let her mind run wild at the possibility of having the person she saw as a son, back in her life. Micah reminded her a lot of her son who she had lost to the Spanish Influenza.
He was only twelve when the disease had taken him from her. That was something she had never thought she would get over, but with the help of the Cullens and now Micah, the pain had dwindled down considerably.
Rosalie had flashed into their shared room, her arms leaning over the railing as she watched her Mate work. In her mind, if Micah was alive then she'd definitely have a bone to pick with him. She thought it was very cruel that he let his Mates believe he was dead for three weeks and for what reason? Revenge for leaving him?
She didn't know why, all she knew was that she wasn't very happy with him. She thought he was better than all those other humans, but she guessed she had gotten it wrong. Again.
Alice too had gone to their shared room, choosing to sit on the bed instead of standing next to Rosalie. With her legs crossed, she unfocused her eyes and she tried with all her might to see a vision on Micah.
But every time she tried, it was like she was watching it from miles away while submerged in water. It was simply impossible. But that didn't mean she stopped trying, she wanted to find out what had happened to bring him back to life and to see if he was still human.
Edward, however had refused to believe that Micah was alive until he saw him for himself, alive and breathing. Against his better judgment, he left the Cullen house and appeared by the hospital, hidden beneath the trees.
He silently watched as Charlie hazardously parked his car in the hospital car park, before getting out and rushing into the building with haste. Edward sat beneath the tree, hidden by the shade as he waited.
He didn't know how long he had stayed like that until he saw Charlie walking out of the hospital with Micah's arm thrown over his shoulder. In that moment, he felt himself freeze. It was almost like the time he had first laid eyes on the teen.
Micah looked just as beautiful as he could remember, more so of that was even possible. His hands broke the trunk of the tree as he watched Charlie help him into the car.
Edward wanted nothing more than to flash over there, grab Micah and take him somewhere no one could ever hurt him again. But even he knew Micah would hate him if he did so.
And so, Edward went back home to tell everyone the truth. Storming into the building, he slammed the door behind himself before looking up at the ceiling with fresh tears in his eyes. "He's alive!" He bellowed, "Our Mate is Alive!"
