With wide and tearful eyes, Charlie continued to look at his son in a state of disbelief. He didn't know what he had done to deserve such a gift, but he promised that this time, he was going to do so much better at protecting him. There was no way Charlie was going to loose his son for a second time.

"Explain it again?" He asked the Doctor, his eyes never leaving his sons form. Micah had moved so that he was laying down on the bed, his hand wrapped tightly around his fathers.

Doctor Robins swallowed thickly at the dark tone in the chiefs voice, "We, um, we think that his heart restarted after we turned the machines off. That his body had put him in a coma to heal."

Charlie slowly pushed himself up from the bed, his hand still clutching Micah's as he turned his head to face the Doctor, "Your telling me, that because of your incompetence, my son was left alive, in a Morgue?"

Doctor Robins clutched his folder close to his chest, his whole body stiff with guilt, "Yes," he squeaked. His heart hammered dangerously at the dark glint into the mans eyes.

Charlie took a step forward, his hands reaching out as if to throttle the man, when Micah pulled him back. "It's not his fault," he said in the mans defence. It really wasn't, he had no idea Micah was going to come back to life. He thought the boy was dead on a slab, not alive in his friends house.

"But he left you to rot," Charlie hissed in anger. Anger that Micah new was not directed at him, but rather the Doctor standing a few feet away, "He forgot about you and left you to die."

Micah tugged know his dads arm until the man looked at him. A soft somber filled sigh slipped from his lips as he finally saw all the pain he had put him through by being reckless. "It's not his fault," he said softly. "Don't do something you will regret."

Charlie clenched his jaw, "I won't regret it," he said through strained teeth, "I won't regret one single second of it."

Shaking his head, Micah once again stopped the man from walking forward, "Yes, you will. Dad, It was not his fault. How was he supposed to know my heart would restart a little ways after It had stopped."

Charlie ground his teeth, fresh tears prickled in his eyes at his sons neutral tone when talking about his own death. "It doesn't matter," he hissed, "They should have checked. What kind of people do you have working here?"

Turning around to his son, who was no longer attached to any machines, "Come on, let's get you out of here." Taking his sons hands within his own, Charlie helped the teen up from the bed.

"Mr Swan, I must insist that Micah stay here," Doctor Robins protested with a shake of his head, "It is crucial that we monitor him incase of a relapse."

Charlie let out a humorous laugh, "You gotta be outa your dam mind if you think I'm ever leaving my son in your care again." He snapped, "I'm taking my Son to another hospital, one where they know what they are doing."

Holding his son close to his side, The father and son dueo began making their way towards the door. "If I was you, I'd clear out your office because you will never work in the medical industry again."

With his arms wrapped firmly around his son, Charlie walked out of the room. He ignored all the gaping stares of all the other patients, knowing that they where in shock at seeing Micah, someone they thought to be dead, alive and walking.

"Are you really going to fire him?" Micah asked, walking slowly to make it seam as if he was still very stiff from being in a 'coma'. "It wasn't his fault. If anything, you should be angry at me. I'm the one who was reckless, if I had just stayed with Paul, then none of this would have happened."

"Stop it!" Charlie demanded, pulling the boy to a stop just outside the hospital doors, "This is not your fault, w-why would you say it was? You didn't force Bella to do what she did, that was all her and she will rot for the rest of her life. It's my fault, not yours. Mine. If I had paid better attention, then I would have been able to stop her before it even happened."

Micah shook his head in denial, his arms wrapping around his fathers thin frame. "It's not your fault, you coin have know."

Charlie hugged him back just as tight, tears streaming down his face. "And neither could you. So don't you dare blame yourself, ever."
