Lionel was horrified that the blonde had simply kissed him. Before he could say anything, she already gave him a second kiss.
"What was that all about?" he hissed angrily and pulled her unfriendly by the hand towards the hotel entrance.
Saskia had seen enough. Not only was Lionel making out with this woman, no, he was now dragging her into the hotel.
"Mihai, I'm sorry, but I've seen enough. I'm not going back to the estate with you. I'm going to my old apartment. But please don't tell Mister Shahbandar, he doesn't need to know this at all. Tomorrow I will come for the festivity and then we will see. That's all he needs to know," she spoke dejectedly to the driver as the first tears ran down her cheeks.
"Saskia, I am so sorry! I would have so hoped that you two would get together," Mihai spoke very disappointedly, looking at her through the rearview mirror. He saw that she was crying, but there was nothing he could do for her.
Sia got out of the limo without a word and quickly walked around the corner of the hotel. There was no way she needed her boss's attention now.
Slowly, she walked around in the darkness, trying to sort out her thoughts. Right now she just felt taken advantage of and betrayed, but he had never promised her anything. When she arrived at her old apartment, she just managed to drag herself into her room. She fell into bed crying and snuggled into her blanket.
Lionel dragged PJ into the reception hall and once again prompted her to give him an answer.
Slowly, Puznowski became afraid of the lord, the way he attacked her so aggressively. "I-I thought you were giving me clear signals. I thought you wanted the same thing as me?" she lied, trying to appease him that way.
"Not interested!" he growled at her, loosening his grip and simply leaving her standing in the foyer.
He quickly strode over to his Rolls-Royce and sat inside. When he noticed that Saskia was no longer here, he turned to Mihai in wonder. "Where is Sassy?" he asked his driver.
Mihai had to pull himself together to give him a normal answer, "Saskia had meant that she was coming to the party tomorrow night."
"And where did she go now?", Lio wanted to know.
"I don't know, she didn't say. Only that she's coming tomorrow night," Mihai answered, lying to his boss without a guilty conscience.
Lionel impetuously ran his hand through his hair and leaned into the leather seat. "Well, if that's the case, let's go home now!" he ordered unkindly, remaining doggedly silent for the rest of the ride.
Immediately he went to his room so that he could have his rest.
Many thoughts flashed through the lord's mind. Had Sassy perhaps seen the kiss? He hoped not. After all, it had meant purely nothing.
"Saskia," he whispered softly, looking down at his long fingers. He would have liked to caress and touch her again. It would be a lie if he hadn't missed Sassy last night. But he was too proud to admit it, as always. Restlessly he still paced up and down.
The next morning Sia got up tired. Actually she didn't want to go to this party of Mister Shahbandar at all, she thought listlessly. But she had promised herself to go down with flags flying. She would style herself today so that he would not recognize her at all, she thought defiantly. And most importantly, she would sneak into the guest room and pack up all her things, because she didn't want to live in his mansion anymore. If he still wanted her help, he would just have to live with it. Otherwise, he would have to find someone else to summarize the texts for him.
No, because she would never let herself be taken advantage of again, that was fixed for her.
Lionel walked restlessly through his estate, checking the set-up of the stage and the lavish buffet that would later be filled with all sorts of delicacies. His thoughts were stuck in a swirl of emotions. He couldn't tell which ones were gaining the upper hand. Angry but also puzzled, he thought of Saskia, who had not contacted him until now. What was going on with her, everything was actually going well after they had cleared up all misunderstandings, or so he thought.
After Lionel saw that everything was running and set up to his satisfaction, he retreated to his office and distracted himself with work. He looked at the preliminary contract for the meeting with the Chinese. He was eager to expand his empire further into the Far East.
Saskia rummaged in her small wardrobe in her room and looked for her black dress. Even though she didn't wear dresses or skirts with her figure, she still had one in her possession that looked good on her. Which was like a miracle. Likewise, she found the black tights and shoes with a small heel. She laid the clothes on the bed and looked at the outfit with satisfaction. She would show it to Lionel today, he had never seen her like this before. But one thing she was sure of, she would give him the cold shoulder as well!
Leisurely she went into the kitchen and prepared herself a cup of coffee, so that the time would pass further. Lost in thought, she sipped the brew and imagined how she would react today. She would leave the blonde bitch to the left as well. Saskia had no need to butter anyone up.
Sia slowly went into the bathroom, showered extensively and underwent a complete care program.
For the hair and makeup she took a lot of time. She wanted everything to be just as perfect as possible. Lionel should see what he had dropped by fooling around with another.
Slowly but surely, Saskia became nervous as she finished getting dressed and stood in front of the small mirror, looking at herself critically. She almost didn't recognize herself anymore and was more than satisfied with the final result. She called a cab to get the inevitable over with.
