EXT. RED CARPET - EVENING
An uncanny resemblance from James' first premier. Everything seems to unfold the same as before -- only this time, it's for his new film (Obsidian Light), and he's with Raul and Edan instead of his family.
They walk down the red carpet, as an INTERVIEWER yells out...
INTERVIEWER - James! James, a quick word.
JAMES - Hey!
James, more poised this time, heads over.
INTERVIEWER - So here we are, at the premier for Obsidian Light -- your second major feature.
JAMES - It's crazy, right?!
Behind James, Edan and Raul get recognized by the paparazzi.
INTERVIEWER - So what's it like the second time around?
JAMES - To be honest? It feels weirdly normal. Like this was meant to happen.
INTERVIEWER - I remember watching your first red carpet event and thinking how nervous you looked.
JAMES - Oh, incredibly nervous.
INTERVIEWER - But this time around, you have a certain...
Interviewer checks James out from head to toe.
INTERVIEWER (CONT'D) - ... Poise to you. Why do you think that is?
Raul runs up and interrupts the interview.
RAUL (re: James) - This guy right here? He's a star!
James and Raul share a quick hug before Raul rushes off.
JAMES - Love that guy.
INTERVIEWER - Amazing.
JAMES - I'm sorry, what was the question again.
INTERVIEWER - I was asking how --
JAMES - Oh, how I have poise this time around... Well, it's been a crazy last few months.
James laughs at the thought of everything he's been through.
JAMES (CONT'D) - And as I'm sure you know, but this industry is a crazy place.
INTERVIEWER - Certainly.
JAMES - But it seems like the more I'm around it, it's... It's almost like I'm not the one calling the shots.
(laughing)
I know it sounds crazy, but I guess I mean like something much bigger than me is in control.
Slowly all sound FADES AWAY...
INTERVIEWER - So James, tell me what drew you into working with Gavin King...
... Until nothing is heard. They continue their interview with nothing but smiles and laughs.
