I Am Dragon

Escape

Y/N POV ~

You sat there, taking deep breaths to fill your deprived lungs from all the screaming. Looking around and finding yourself alone, you looked for the rock and braid you had been working on before the dragon took Yoongi. 

The moon was shining brightly at the top of the pit, giving off enough light to see the ledge that was thankfully still there. 

Crawling slowly towards the once shared wall with Yoongi, you stood, your knees shaking, threatening to give way at any moment. 

"Yoongi? Where are you? Where are you, Yoongi? Where are you?"

You tapped the wall, each breath coming out shakily and shallow. Tears stung at your eyes for your friend who was gone. 

Pushing yourself away from the wall, you quickly grabbed the rock, more determined to escape on Yoongi's behalf, who had been trapped on the island for so long. 

Throwing the rock to the ledge, praying it would catch, and then watching it fall to the ground again. You picked up, determined to try again; each time it fell to the ground, you would grow more impatient and angry, tears blurring your vision until the braid finally caught on the ledge. 

You pulled at the braid, praying it would be strong enough to hold your weight. You began climbing. 

You could feel the braid strain at your weight with each movement. The braid breaks loose, your body slamming against the floor. 

Crying out in pain from the open wound, you screamed in frustration. Determined to be free, you grabbed the closest rock and banged it against the wall you shared with Yoongi. 

"Don't leave me here alone!"

You mashed the rock against the wall until the stones gave way, showing you what once was Yoongi's side of the wall. You stood there stunned at the view of tiny ashes of fire danced through the air. 

"Yoongi?"

Climbing over the stones, you looked for Yoongi, hoping that the dragon spared him, but you knew not to get your hopes up. 

"Where are you, Yoongi?"

You saw a small fire still ablaze from what you could assume was the dragon. Your voice echoed as you softly called for Yoongi. Keeping your body against the wall, you walked away from the hole in the wall, hoping to find your freedom. 

"Yoongi, where are you?"

Climbing up the steep rocky slope, you looked for remains of Yoongi's body or where he could be hiding. 

Walking around the large carven, you noticed what looked like a table but with white ashes on it. You turned around, keeping an eye out for the dragon. 

"Yoongi?"

Noticing an opening that was easier to climb, you began climbing towards the sky, the sound of the ocean growing louder with each step. As you got closer to the opening, the ground started rumbling, the sound of the sea replaced with low growling. 

The sight of the dragon came into your eyes. Gasping, you began running back down the slippery slope, desperately running from the dragon. You could hear the dragon flapping its wings as it came in pursuit of you. 

Turning to look over your shoulder to see the distance between you and the dragon, you saw as it flew its claws out in front of it, reaching for you. 

Your foot caught on a rock sending you to the ground, the dragon missing your body, flying past you. You took a deep breath, pulling yourself to your feet as the dragon flew around, coming for you again. You ran as fast and hard as you could. You were looking for places to hide from the dragon. 

To your side, you noticed a small opening that looked like you could hide from the dragon, turning your strides towards the opening as the dragon crashed past you, your body running through the small tunnel-like opening in as far as you could away from the snarling dragon. 

You sat behind a large boulder, taking a chance to look back at the dragon, only to see neon orange fire coming out of its mouth, circling the cave, burning everything except you, as you hid behind a small wall, watching as the fire faded out deeper down the tunnel, leaving small patches of fire behind it.

You noticed a similar opening running through the tunnel, the moonlight shining through, giving you the opening you needed to free yourself. Climbing through the opening you were prepared to continue running but stopped when you found yourself at the end of a long ledge, with nothing but sharp rocks and seawater crashing against the island below you.  

You gasped at the sight below you, trying to think of your way out.
