Y/N POV ~

Taking deep breaths of air, spitting out the water from your lungs, you climbed the water edge unto dry land.

The sight of the dragon collapsed nearby, groaning each time it moved. You stayed in your position, praying the dragon would die.

The dragon lifted its head but let it fall back to the ground, its breathing becoming shall.

Taking your chance, you ran away from him as fast as your weak legs could carry you.

"Somebody! Somebody help me!" you called out before collapsing against the rocks from exhaustion.

"I'm over here! Help!" you called out one last time before allowing the darkness to consume you.

Hoseok POV~

"I have a bad feeling about this, Hoseok... It's far too quiet here. The island should've been here, but all I can see is this strange fog," Taehyung commented as he looked over the front of the boat.

"I can't do anything about that. I've never seen such fog myself," he answered before taking a swig of water.

"But you've heard about it. Surely your grandfather told you the secret route through this fog... Have you maybe forgotten?" Taehyung asked.

"I haven't! We're doing everything right," Hoseok growled, his frustration growing.

"So, what's the secret route?" Taehyung asked, looking out at the fog once more.

"Secret this, secret that... That's all I heard all my life, yet the dragon turned out to be still alive. Don't worry. I know what to do, so I'll manage," he answered, annoyed by his friend's continual questions.

"I worry about the girl. We must rescue her... Before it's too late," Taehyung mumbled, we must rescue her.

Y/N POV ~

"I'm over here! Hey!" you called out, your voice becoming raw, "Somebody... Please..."

The sound of hissing filled your ears. You were turning to see fiery ashes rising from where the dragon lay. Curiosity filled you as you cautiously walked closer to where the dragon had been.

Only to see Yoongi lying where the dragon had been. His breathing was shallow, and he seemed to be in extensive pain.

You shook your head, afraid that Yoongi would become the dragon again. You searched for a rock. Not sure what you wanted to do, but something.

Grabbing a large one, you carried it back to where Yoongi laid, unsure if you could follow through with what your mind had in store.

Lifting it over your head, you fought yourself as you wanted to be free of the dragon, but you had become fond of Yoongi and couldn't bear to kill a man. You had never killed anyone before, and you didn't want to start now.

You turned to throw the rock into the ocean, unable to kill him. The sight of the yellow-eyed, bushy tail creature came into view, growling and snarling at you again.

"Stay away! Don't come near me!" you shouted, holding the rock on your shoulder to support the weight.

The creature sprung from its spot. You prepared to throw it but watched as the creature ran past you towards Yoongi.

You watched as the creature nudged its head against Yoongi, whimpers replacing the once snarls escaping the creature's mouth. You felt sorry for the creature as you watched it desperately trying to wake Yoongi.

The tide was coming in, covering Yoongi's body, slowly pulling him out to sea. The creature's cry grew louder as his body was dragged.

"That's fine. Let it be this way. That's even better. It's not my fault. It's the seas. The sea can kill too," you mumbled to yourself as you began to walk away.

The creature cries, growing louder, drawing your attention back to Yoongi, who was now almost entirely in the sea. It's crying, pulling at your heartstrings.

Groaning in frustration, you made your way back to Yoongi's body. His body was limp and heavy. His body was lifeless and heavy. You immediately grabbed his body, pulling him further onto dry ground. Difficult for your petite frame to drag.

"Why am I even doing this?" you grumbled to yourself, falling to the ground beside him after pulling what you deemed a safe distance from the water.

The creature returned, pulling a large sail towards you, letting out a gentle croak.

"What am I supposed to do with it?"

It gestured its head towards the sail.

"Could you be more specific?" you asked, picking up the sail.

You carefully wrapped the sail around his body, following the creature away from the water's edge. You couldn't believe you were following the same animal who tried to kill you and was saving the person who kidnapped you.

"I'm not happy about dragging this... reptile up there!" you exclaimed, pulling at the sail with all your force, trying to pull Yoongi up the side of the mountain.

The creature had its teeth on the sail, attempting to help pull Yoongi with you.

"So what if he saved me? I saved him too. He kidnapped me, threw me against the rocks, and now I'm helping him?" you complained to the animal-like it understood.

You fell against the side of the cliff, attempting to take in deeper breaths to fill your lungs.

"Who will help me? Not him, I suppose," you said, between gasps of air.

The animal growled at you as you sat, trying to breathe.

"How much further do I have to drag him?"

The creature looked up the path and then back at you before growling again. You stood grabbing the sail again, dragging his body once more.

"Here's the deal: When you gather your wits, you'll carry me back home," you said, looking at Yoongi's soft facial expression.

Knowing he wasn't going to respond, you took the opportunity to agree for him.

"I knew you would like my plan. So you kidnapped me - no big deal. What matters is that you're kind, even though you're too heavy. And you live too high up... for no obvious reason," you said as you made the last few strides to the island's top.

Leaving his body, you stood, stretching your back and filling your lungs. You looked at the animal, lying on the ground asleep.

The top of what you assumed was his home had a ceiling made of what looked like large eggs with holes in them that let in the light. A small waterfall, streaming down into a hole.

"Although now I know why," you said, realizing the beauty where you assumed Yoongi and this animal lived.

The rustling sound filled your ears, and the animal growled at you again. Turning to see Yoongi's body begin sliding towards the edge, you quickly grabbed him, pulling his body away from the edge.

You let out a breath of air out of relief, the creature now growling at you. You glared at him.
