Chapter 23

After their MINDBLOWING performance, all the other family members from both sides came and danced to peppy songs, old songs, and whatnot. The smile seems to be stitched on Nandani's face the entire night, making people around her so happy.

All her friends knew about how deeply she was hurt because of the past and they were happy to give her the space she needed although it didn't seem like a good idea initially they grew patient and habitual to them. Ever since Nandani's departure if any time all, if they had a discussion together, was for the letters which use to be delivered to her once two months, trying to not make her family suspicious. These small chats did nothing for them but made smaller groups among them. For eg: Maya and Zoya approach Abhimanyu or Aryaman whenever they were in any problem.

Yes, you heard it right THEY EVEN WENT TO ARYAMAN...

Well after Nandani rudely left without meeting Aryaman he came to her friends...

Whom he obviously knew...

After a pretty heated argument between them, Aryaman finally sighed at the silly girl's decision and moved on in his life. Maya and Zoya, on the other hand, who had a slight idea about Aryaman's feelings chucked the feeling when he never told them, and later when he got into a relationship the topic ended for good.

The wedding which on one side for Nandani was fitting into her family, for her it was a chance to mend their relationships. Especially for Nandani! And the first one to do so was Sanket!

It was later at night after the ceremony when Sanket approached Nandani's mother to talk. Nandani who noticed them, moved towards them when she saw a serious look on Sanket's face. When she was near them she heard her mother say,

Mom: Yeah you can!! You have helped us so much of course you can! Go and take a rest in Nandani's room only because the other rooms are full. I will just get a mattress and pillow!

She smiled at Sanket and was about to leave when she saw Nandani standing there. She smiled at her and said,

Mom: Nandani! I hope you don't have any problem when Sanket stays over in your room today!

Nandani smiled at her and said,

Nandani: I have no problem mom!

Her mom gave her a small smile and left to do the adjustments. Nandani looked at Sanket and kept looking at him for a minute. After Sanket noticed her staring he turned to her and raised an eyebrow. Nandani shook her head and said,

Nandani: we will talk later.

She then held his hand and went towards the group who were ready to leave. They were bidding bye to each other when Nandani said,

Nandani: I will sleep till late tomorrow cause of the break before getting ready for the marriage.

She said casually and everyone nodded at her and bid bye promising to make a plan to meet up the next day.

Later at night Nandani came back into her room after changing and saw Sanket was already lying down on the mattress that her mother had set on the floor. She sighed sensing the awkwardness which made Sanket open his eyes making him ask,

Sanket: What are you sighing at?

Nandani: This is more awkward than expected it to be.

Sanket looked around and asked her,

Sanket: What?

Nandani: you sleeping in my room.

She said as she jumped above Sanket's legs making him squeal,
